Okay, so I've read the coupon policy and the price match policy and I still don't quite understand how competitor coupons work at Walmart. I read in a post somewhere that they will only match a competitor coupon if it is for a specific sale price, not a $ off (1.66 for lean pockets vs. $1 off lean pockets Safeway Q). Is this correct? I ask because I have so many competitor Qs that would be a good deal if I can use a Walmart price, Competitor $ off, and a MFG $ off! TIA! |

I've priced matched at WM using competitor qs that are printed in ads and state a specific price. (not bogo and not % off) I've never tried to do this with coupons that I've cut from ads or that didn't originate in an ad. If it's printed in a current ad and states the price, they don't even bat an eye. It seems like everything is YMMV at WM though...

Here's a quick scenario for this week: Maxwell House Coffee 2.99 at RA (in ad). If I price match that, I have a $1 off Target web coupon and a $1 off MFG Q. It would be .99 after PM, competitor Q and MFGQ. So, this scenario is two-fold: 1) Can I use an ad. and competitor Q on the same item (double price matching?) and 2) Can I use a competitor $ off Q at all? TIA for anyone's help! |

I have a WM that will take WAG IVCs, in-ad Qs plus MQs and show their current sale price. This is all matched. I don't know what buttons they push for the store Qs since they don't scan @ WM but they are deducted from the sale price. The only exception is FARR, my WM will NOT ad match those and I'm okay with that. Not all my WMs take store Qs but all of them ad matches all competitor ads.

Sounds like a fabulous deal but I don't think my WM would accept the Target q. It couldn't hurt to ask your WM though, the worst they can do is say no. I always have my ads ready/organized/clearly marked and 99.9% of the time the cashiers don't even glance at them when I present them. Good luck to ya!

The new policy states 1 coupon per item so I dont think you would be able to use a competitor store coupon with a man coupon. In this instance I would just price match the riteaid ad at Target and then stack the q's....I do know that other stores such as Publix will accept a competitor and man stacked.

Also you are correct about the comp coupon question....they will only accept a comp coupon for a specific price which in reality is not any different then price matching.
