| Ad Match Guarantee policy
Here's the link: Price Match Policy I've needed to refer to this several times lately, and think it would be great to have this as a sticky... We’re committed to providing low prices every day. On everything. So if you find a lower advertised price on an identical product, tell us and we’ll match it. Right at the register. We gladly match the price in the following types of ads:* Buy one, get one free ads with a specified price Example: Buy one for $2.49, get one free (BOGO) Competitors' ads that feature a specific item for a specified price Preferred shopping card prices for specific items that are in a printed ad For fresh produce and meat items when the price is offered in the same unit type (lb. for lb.; each for each) *The following are guidelines and limitations: We will match any local competitor's advertised price. We do not require customers to have the ad with them to honor a competitor's ad. Items purchased must be identical to the ad (size, quantity, brand, flavor, color, etc.) We do not match the price in the following types of competitor ads: Items that require a separate purchase to get the ad price example: "Buy [item A] to get [item B] for $C" Items with no actual price that require a purchase to get free product example: "Buy both [items A & B] to get [item C] for free" Items that require a purchase to get a competitors' gift card example: "Buy [item A] to get a $B gift card Buy one, get one free (BOGO) ads with no actual price given Going out of business or closeout prices Percentage off example: "All mascara, 40% off" Competitors' private label price promotions We do not honor: Ads when the actual price for items cannot be determined Internet pricing Misprinted ad prices of other retailers "Going out of business" sales or "closeout" prices Last edited by crazy8kids; 09-19-2012 at 08:43 PM. I saw an add in Readers Digest for the WAGS always deal. It's buy 2/$6 get $4 rr so it's "like getting it 2/$2". Will Walmart honor the 2/$2 deal if I show the add? Using the $1/1 from yesterdays P&G would make them free.

People are wondering why they get so much slack from wal mart. This is why. People abuse the policy. No where in our policy does it say that we will price match a sale that has anything to do with ups or rr. Like I've stated before my store is very very coupon friendly but we do not do what you are saying here. I'm sure you read the part of our policy where it states that we do not take Oyno coupons, so why would you try to use a price match on a deal that clearly gives coupons for oyno??mods please do not let this thread continus because this is not part of the walmart policy and continuing to spread this will most certainly lead to another update to the policy. Are we not all enjoying the policy which gives us overage in the form of cash back in our pockets if we wanted? Why would anyone want to ruin that??? Sorry one more thing yes we will price match a store that requires a card to receive a special price but that still is not what you are talking about here. Those deals are for a sale price not a price that give a Catalina for oyno as in rr and ups that are only good at rite aid and wags ect... We do not accept Competitors coupons Dollars/cents off at a specific retailer Percentage off Buy one, get one free (BOGO) coupons without a specified price Double- or triple-value coupons Last edited by ohsolucky; 04-06-2011 at 05:04 PM. |

| Thanks for clearing this up. Not sure why there is a variation but both of my Walmarts' do it and I've actually had the assistant store manager and the front csm run some of my transactions. They said to me "If you go over there you'd get the deal plus be able to use not only their coupon but a mnf coupon as well so I'd rather you shop with us than with them". Since they gave me the go I have yet to run into any issues. They definitely offer me great customer service. Kuddos to my Walmarts'.

My Wal Mart does except competitor coupons. This is the Port Charlotte, FL location. Here is from the Wal Mart coupon policy. Competitors' coupons they WILL except A specific item for a specified price, for example, $2.99 Buy one, get one free (BOGO) coupons for items with a specified price Have a valid expiration date Are acceptable in black and white this is what they will NOT except on competitor coupons Competitors' coupons Dollars/cents off at a specific retailer Percentage off Buy one, get one free (BOGO) coupons without a specified price Double- or triple-value coupons For example they would take my target coupons, but would not take my 5$ off for purchase over 25.00 from Winn Dixie. Would you say this is correct? |

You are correct that their PM policy does not include this type of transaction. However, every manager is allowed some discretion... So, rather than attack the OP and threaten to remove the thread through mods, why not approach it with how we should be approaching all customer service associates and each other... "I believe you are mistaken on the policy, as RR are OYNO deals and Walmarts policy does not honor those. Your store must take a more lenient approach to the policy. As it appears that this is a YMMV situation, would you mind modifying your original post to state that each person should verify their stores interpretation/utilization of the policy with regard to WAGS ads as it most definitely is YMMV? Thanks!" Kill em with kindness, including each other... Please.

Must admit my first post seems too snappy. Sooo sorry for that!!! Let me restate this. My point was simply that a deal that includes a cat for a dollars and or cents off at a particular store ie rr or up that give you $5.00 off on your next purchase at walgreens or rite aid is not honored as part of the new walmart coupon policy. If the cat prints out for $5.00 off your next purchase of say revlon beauty tool and the coupon say that it is good at walgreens and has the walgreens name on it it is still good at walmart and is included in the policy ie a comp coupon for a specific item with a specific dollar amount attached to it. that was my point and as I have said before the op is correct that a store manager may modify the policy to fit their store's needs. So sorry for that first rude post!!! |

The Frederick and Gtown, MD Walmarts honor internet prices. You have to print it out though. I have gotten so much deals from that. <img src="http://dl7.glitter-graphics.net/pub/513/513727mzfgbailft.gif" width=259 height=139 border=0> |

OK...I can't post a link yet because I only have 2 posts before now, but the price match policy can not be accessed through the link above. If someone would do a search for ad match guarantee, you could possibly copy and paste the link. Otherwise, you will need to enter the the following, and apply the appropriate characters where needed. http(colon, forward slash, forward slash)walmartstores(dot)com(forward slash)10563(dot)aspx Last edited by mommy_christy; 04-10-2011 at 07:42 PM. This may sound stupid but if they honor the price match I can still use a manufacturers coupon on the item as well correct? Also if you don't mind I would love a copy of your spreadsheet too! |

Ok, I just read the sticky and I was told by the csm that if the paper says "with card" they do not give you that price. Since WM does not have a value card. A few people I also spoke with said the same thing, but when reading this it says we can price match even if it says "with card"...well I guess if I print this out, I might be able to get somewhere. Sometimes WM is a big pain in the *beep*
