| Okay, ladies and gentlemen. Here's what I learned: When we call the 800-WALMART number, we are not talking to the corporate office. We are speaking to someone that screens the calls for corporate and attempts to give you clarity on the coupon policy to the best of their ability. In my past experiences in dealing with them, they will either tell you the same thing the CSM has told you or misinterpret corporate coupon policy all together. It is at this point you request that you request someone from their corporate office to contact you (as I did). ![]() I received two different calls from corporate as I had two different complaints- One for the Neighborhood Market (grocery store) and one for the regular department store. On both occassions I explained my dilemas with their cashiers and the fact that their CSM's were refusing to accept competitor's coupons and sometimes internet coupons. I also mentioned that I asked the CSM at the Neighborhood Market if she would match the price of a Walgreen's coupon and she told me that she would not because it was a coupon and they do not take competitor's coupons. The corporate reps (I believe that they may have been regional managers) were impressed with my knowledge of their policy and assured me that they would contact the stores and re-educate them about corporate policy, which is: Competitor Manufacturer's Coupons are accepted as long as it has the scan bar, has not expired and has an address on it so that they can forward it for reimbursement. She even stated that she tries to get the cashiers to understand that excellent customer service is a necessity because customers do not show up just because of low prices but because of their entire shopping experience. She recognized that customers will drive the extra miles and pay the extra 20 cents if they are going to have an enjoyable shopping experience. ![]() Nevertheless, I went back to the Department store to "test" the training. After clarifying it with CS, she learned that she could accept my competitor MQ (she wasn't at work when the information was given). I haven't tried the neighborhood market but I'm certainly excited because now I can return to Walmart without any hassles! ![]() So, don't give up. If we all make these calls, things will change!! |

I think OP means MQs with the store name on it, like a Register Reward from Walgreens. It says "Manufacturer Coupon" but has a Walgreens logo on it.

they really do need acopy at there registers of all the policys in a form that they can scan quickly though something that would have a quick overview of the different q's and policys would make everything alot smoother i thinkk!

Actually, the Call Center for 1-800-WAL-MART is part of the Home Office; they are located right here in Bentonville, AR. There are several buildings that Wal-Mart uses for various parts of the Corporate Office; ran out of room in the main building a LONG time ago ![]() I work in the WM HO and work in store support. I don't work on the Merchandising Hotline (1-800-WAL-MART) but I know people who are/have and have been to the building they are located in several times. They are all hourly associates, so it's not like you are speaking to a manager when you call into that #. Glad you were able to get your issue resolved!

| You should not have a problem because it is a MQ. But just to save yourself some hassle, clarify it with the CSM first. If they initially tell you no, then let them know that it is a manufacturer's Q. Walgreen's is listed so big they may overlook that aspect of the Q.

| Exactly. Walgreen's Q and Target Q's are generated by each corp and not the manufacturers.
