Me too! I rolled my RR into an Applebee's GC, but I would have rather put them onto a WAG's GC.

Just FYI, we should abide with the terms of RRs it clearly says NOT REDEEMABLE FOR WAG giftcards. Others are already having problems with their WAG while following rules, let's not ruin it for the rest. Just a request. Thanks!

I agree with Joshmamabear, while it doesn't say anything about rolling into any other gift card, the RR specifically states No Walgreens Gift Cards...I have successfully rolled my RR into gas cards and others, but would not try a WAGS as I would think that my cashier would get into some real trouble for this..not to mention it really does raise red flags for management when the system is abused!!

wont try it then. I haven't really read the RR. I just started this week with Walgreens. Sorry for that! Thanks for setting me straight!

Well to be fair then, the RR does state one per order, which to me means one per transaction too. Whenever I have asked if I could use more than one they always say no. I have used more than one per time, when they let me.

I actually didn't realize it said that you couldn't, otherwise I wouldn't have done it. I'm suprised she didn't say anything.

for as long as you have enough items in the transaction to cover the RRs and the register doesn't beep, they will take it. simply means equal (or more) number of items than RRs plus MQs and register does not beep = they will take it WAG coupons like IVC and 7dWAGc are not counted in tally. Example: You want to purchase the 12.99 item on FAR and want to use RRs garnier nutritioniste skin renewal 3 easter tumblers use 3 $4 RRs use $1 nutritioniste MQ (or $2 tearpad or $3 peelie) scan 8/$1 WAGc for easter tumblers depending on tax, you may come out with very little OOP or refund. then submit for March ES rebate to get back 12.99 plus 10% bonus at the end of the month. |

Most mnfctr Qs (which RRs are) state "one coupon per purchase" which interprets the same as in have one Q per item..not sure why your WAGS doesn't allow you, but know that most allow more than 1 per transaction as long as you have more or equal to, the # of items and Qs (incldng RR)..and I wasn't meaning to take a holier than thou attitude, but really these type of transactions do more harm than good.

I don't know Rach, because when I have rolled my RR into gas cards, I had a manager check me out and he said that was a real smart thing to do with the RR as they expire so soon and there was only so much milk and bread you could buy in a two weeks time...I have also had asst managers and regular cashiers check me out and they all take them no problem..the thing to remember is that because this is a P&G promotion and mnfctr Q from them, I am pretty sure that P&G has some sort of agreement with WAGS to reimburse them for each RR the same as other mnfctr Qs..I would imagine it is the only way that WAGS could continue to offer them and have them say "compliments of P&G, or Crest, or Pepsi" was if they were getting that $$ back from that company...wonder if any WAGS employee who frequent this site can give us any insight into this??

I guess it all comes down to interpretation. I am not being a hypocrit because I got two gift cards yesterday, but the part that gets me is one per order. Other coupons only say one per purchase. I consider an item a purchase, not an order. Either way I am glad that I was able to use them all. WG corporate does need to straighten this out because their employees (seems to be the norm) don't know what is going on.

| Have to chime in here...yes, the WG RR do specifically state "one per order". They also state "cannot be used to purchase Walgreens gift card". Doesn't seem like one should be able to pick and choose which one of these stipulations one wants to follow. Basically, if you're going to follow the rules, then follow the rules. Please do not misunderstand me...I am all for redeeming RR for gift cards, although I've been too chicken to try it, because of the stipulation about 1 per order on the RR. ETA: staviles: just re-read your post #10, and I am understanding your logic to mean because RR are manufacturer's q, and manu q's are one per item, as long as you have items to cover the # of RR used, then you are ok. And so you see it like you are following the rules. I guess what is throwing me is the word order. Oh well, doesn't really matter to me. I'm glad for those that can roll into non-WG g.c. | I just got online and am reading this and the RR's do say limit one per order and no Walgreens Gift Cards. This is something new that they have started doing with the RR around the beginning of the year (I think). Before that that it didn't say anything at all (I had a very cranky ***. manager who hated me and still does) go through it word for word. So since the coupon does state it on the coupon, please keep any talk of it between yourselves in PM's as we want to keep AFC an honest coupon site. Thanks! |
