| Buy items with RRs and returned them or exchange and you Loose money!!!!
Bought Cethaphil for 11.99. Paid with 3rr and 4rr and some cash. Went back to exchange it for another acne cleanser and manager said he could only credit me with the 3rr and the cash and that the 4 rr is lost. Store policy! I cannot believe this. Now not even exchanging the item would be worth going to Walgreens. Beware! I know there is people that do the system wrong, but the system did me wrong today.

Wags gets reimbursed for the RRs so they should have given you in-store credit. I would have stood my ground and had them either give me back my RRs (which is probably impossible if they were used a different day) or given me the full amount in store credit. Try another store?

it is sad that stores hit with a lot of returns of RR items have probably influenced corporate to come up with this rule. I suggest you check with the DM since each district is allowed to make their rules/policies. If the DM tells you it is a district policy, all stores under that district that you go to will have the same policy. Therefore, no use going to another store w/in that district since they will likely have the same policy. Thanks for the heads up! what is sad in your case is you went in for an exchange. why was difficult or unfair in an even exchange w/o giving you cash refund? UNLESS the item you want is far lower priced than what you bought? Either way, you just wanted an exchange for ONE item, we're not talking of you returning all items (like 10 or more) you earned RRs for. All these policy changes WAG is coming up with are not customer friendly. I've noticed less FARR items and werdeals also mentioned that as September nears, WAG is gearing more towards Free after Mail-in-Rebate. At the rate their rebate GCs come with average of 10 to 12 weeks (that is, IF they don't get lost in the mail), NO thanks!

contact your state's attorney general's office and file a complaint in writing or on the online complaint service.

Thanks for your posts! I have to say I will try to shop the minimun at Walgreens since they are getting to crazy and unfriendly. CVS is better in my opinion and ECB last much longer.

| Is that new - I remember when they did the combined rebate program and it seemed like I usually had the money from one month back to use the following month (or pretty close to it - maybe it was from the end of one month submitting (say July) to using it at the beginning of the 2nd month (Sept in this example)?

Next time do it without the receipt. What's the point of having a receipt if it does that to you

I've only had to return an item once that I used RR's to purchase, but I was given the full amount in cash. The manager told me they are reimbursed in full for the RR's so its all the same to them.

Kind of confused. I thought that you could only use one RR on one item? Unless you bought two? Anyway, I figured they would return it for the value of the item whether in cash or at least store credit.

This is new to me and I figure it may be a policy in isolated branches, not corporate wide. IF the SM of a store can't give satisfactory answers or they're the one who implemented the rule, it is best to contact the DM rather than corporate since they can give straight answers on policies in their district. Whatever the DM says is the rule for that district, not necessarily all WAG stores. JMO.

Do we know what the loyalty card will be like? I really like the RRs. I wonder if it will still be possible to get so many great deals at wags...

Didn't they used to do monthly rebates back in the day? They'd have a whole book of em. I wonder what made them stop.....

| Yup, they did. Easy Saver Rebates. Oh, I miss those. They did away with the ESR program when they rolled out the RR program.

I've had smooth returns, both with things bought with Ups and received Ups on, in RiteAid if you shop there. Think RA has the "beauty guarantee" so maybe they are more ok with the returns. I don't see it as abusing the system, you had to buy things to earn the RR in the first place... so if you try skincare or makeup and it doesn't work for you, you lose out on your cash OOP and the RR you earned. I know some stores don't allow any returns on makeup and skin, but that's another topic. |
