OMG!! I have been searching for Ecotrin!! My pre-order did not come in. They only have 5 in my store. I called 4 other stores in the next town and one has 4, one has 3, one said they were not sure if they even carried it...even though it's in the ad!!! What the **** is going on here...WALLLLGREENs...I am so upset! Been looking forward to this weekend and nothing!!

There was a recall a few months back along with the excedrin, I don't think they've released any new product yet to stores

.Ecotrin wasn't part of Excederin's recall.. It's in the pain relief aisle. Usually one shelf up from the bottom. blue and white box.

Pretty sure it was ecotrin, excedrin, and buferin all recalled at the same time. Work at a pharmacy, had to hear the complaints about it...

I think what happened here is that several stores who got pre orders from couponers 3 to 4 weeks ago got the chance to order lots way ahead than the rest so they have a lot to sell this week. While other stores had tons, there are some that didn't get any just because the warehouse are already out.

Wow. I didn't see that one. I saw the gas-x, Excederin and Bufferin one. I will have to check. That's been my go to drug for a while now.

Yup. Same time Excederin was. You can check Novaris's website. The info was still there this am. Actually mailed mine with the Excederin.

Novartis Consumer Health (NCH) is voluntarily recalling select lots and bottle sizes of Excedrin, NoDoz Alertness Aid, Bufferin, and Gas-X Prevention. Novartis is taking this action as a precautionary measure because the products may contain stray tablets, capsules or caplets from other products, or may contain broken or chipped tablets. At this time, there have been no adverse events reported in related to the recalled products. The following specific products are being recalled:

There may be confusion on Bufferin and Ecotrin, both of which are aspirin products. HOWEVER, Ecotrin is manufactured by a different company, GSK.

unless we read that GSK has also recalled certain lot numbers of Ecotrin with specific count and expiration dates, then we can check the ones sold @ WAG if they are part of the recall and return them.

I don't think its been recalled. My store got in a bunch. Shelf only had a few boxes a few days ago (I knew this deal was coming and I was scoping out inventory) and last night when I showed up at midnight, there was a lot. I got 10 and there was still a whole lot more.

I was just really bummed. I was going to use the RR's to help a friend with groceries or what ever she needed.

Soon as I found out about this deal by early May, I contacted the SMs in our district to give them the heads up so they can place orders for their store asap and get them before the warehouse is wiped out.

For GDAs like this, the stores who place their orders way ahead of the rest usually get stocks in before the week of the sale.

Got the last 8 bottles today at my WAGS - sorry, I became a shelf clearer. There were 3 rows allocated just to this size of Ecotrin, so I'm lucky that I got 8. Did sep transactions of 2 each to get them free (used 2/$l.50 cpns) plus earned $2 RR each trans. Then used a couple of those $2 RRs to get Arizona Tea on sale for 2/$1 = Free Ecotrin and Free Tea!!

Iiiiii found it!!!!! Like 2 hours away in another town and in 20 differnt stores! LOL OK I didn't go to 20 different stores, but I went to a lot and I used all my coupons and completed everything i set out to do...last week. LOL Oh what a thrill!!

To everyone who didn't get them...I completely understand. I traded and ordered my coupons. I made a promise to a dear friend to help her out and when my pre-order did not come in...I decided I could't just pass this up. I made the trip and spent a lot of time getting some here and there and everywhere without clearing shelves until I used up all my coupons. Then there at the last store used almost all my RR to buy grocery items for her and got a few things for us.
I just couldn't let them go to waste and I couldn't break my promise...and I couldn't resist the thrill and temptation! LOL

If I didn't live so far from Walgreens I would have done the same. I checked three stores 35 minutes from me, then there are only 2 more almost 2 hours from me-would have cost me more in gas! Good for you though, glad you were able to get them
