Ok, I'm not sure if this is an individual store issue or every store. But this morning I went into Walgreens and purchased some jane products and 3/$10 sunsilk shampoo/conditioner. I used 3 $1.50 off coupons on the sunsilk and at the end of the transaction the $3 RR for the sunsilk did not print out. When I asked the cashier why, she said she thought it was because you have to spend $10.

So after work I went back and spoke with the cosmetic lady to see if she knew how that worked and she didn't, so she called the manager. He said that in order to get the RR I would have to spend $10 because the deal says 3/$10... if the deal just said purchase 3 and get $3 RR it would have printed out.

So heres the question, has this happened to anyone else?? I am making the assumption that using the $2 off coupon on the Olays will make it so you do NOT get the $4 RR... it would still be a good deal because you will get free soap, but the RR will not print.

IF this is truly the case I'm bummed!!

shouldnt they scan your card before entering the coupons. if they scan your card first you are buying the products for 3/$10

Was there a size specification for the bottles? I've never had this problem when I got the correct sizes and used coupons. I have however gotten the wrong size accidently and the rr didn't print.

What a bummer! I wonder if the Olay deal will be that way too? I just assumed that since they get reimbursed for the coupons by the manufacturer, the RR would still print. If that is the case, they need to take lessons from CVS. I guess we will find out in a week.

My walgreens doesn't have customer cards. Do some of them? I saw the card mentioned in the post before mine.

There was no size specification that I'm aware of and I got the bottles that were directly above the $3/10 tags so I'm pretty sure they were the right ones.
The manager told me specifically that it won't print if you use coupons and the cosmetic lady told me that there was something she purchased one time with a coupon and the RR did not print for her either.

There will be no problems with the Dove at all. You will be able to use the coupons. There have been so many promos like this and they have all worked.

As far as the reason for you not getting the Sunsilk...it may be that they finally caught on that the RR was producing for clearance product.

Well there were sime sunsilk in the ckearance sections and they were 2.24 each, i used the 1.50 q's and got back 3.00 twice. i don't know why that didn't work for you.

I used coupons for other deals before, like the Post Cereal deal a couple weeks back and they printed out fine. But sometimes, the computer messes up. Once, on the buy the Dove body wash, get the RR for Dove creamoil body lotion, it didn't print out--I used a coupon, and they gave me the form to send my receipt in, blah blah blah. Went back to the same store a couple days later and did the same thing--body wash with coupon to get lotion coupon, and it worked just fine

I had a similar problem w/the colorstay rev. clearanced nail polish.. they wouldn't take es coupon for 3.00 b/c each was clearance for 1.59 ..It may be a ymmv issue b/c that was a cpn not rr

rr will work. sometimes the machine is out of paper or turned off.

I guess I'm just more confused than ever. Maybe its just my local store then, because the sunsilks were not clearanced, each bottle was $3.33.

The printer might have just been out of paper or offline. Like I wrote above, it's happened to be before, and went back for the same deal later with coupons and it worked just fine. They should have offerred to give you a form that you would send your receipt into so you could get your RR. That's what I had to do with the Post Cereal deal a couple weeks back

I used a store coupon with the chapstick and still got the RR.

I bought 3 Sunsilks today and used $1 off coupon on each of them (even used a $6 RR from the razor deal last week--had to add a .29 candy filler), and I still got the $3 RR. I would guess it's a machine malfunction, like some of the pps said. The manager is absolutely wrong about not being able to use coupons to get RRs.

I think PP are right and there was something wrong with that individual printer because I have always used coupons on all my RR transactions and have done the clearanced items for RR and the RR has always come out..the only time it didn't was on one of the Robitussin deals and the manager just told me to grab another one (like the one in the picture in the ad) and she scanned it and did the transaction as if I had paid, out came the register reward (which she handed to me) and then she voided the transaction..she then watched my purchases while I ran back and grabbed another Chapstick and some TP and used the RR to pay. She even kept apologizing about "these darn machines" while checking me out the second time.

Sometimes the RR don't work for some strange reason. I had this happen to me with the Dove oil body wash. I purchased one on sale for 3.99 and had a $2 off IP that I used w/ it. The RR for $6 off Olay creme oil body lotion did not print. The store Mgr. wrote out a raincheck for $6 off the lotion. I went down the road to another Walgreens, got the other Dove body wash, used the $2 off coupon, and the $6 off RR DID print. I think your individual store just has issues with their machine and the employees are unimformed. I will be sure to go the the Walgrens though that doesn't have issues with RR not printing. Hope this helps.
