ok, so i literally haven't couponed in atleast a year. It's just been busy, hectic and i lived off my stockpile! Well, I'm getting back in the swing of things. I haven't used coupons yet, but i thought i'd go to wags and roll a few RR to get my RR back built up.

i had 4 witch hazels ($4 w/ $4 RR) 4 Kotex Tampons (3.99 w/ 3RR) and 4 Halls Cough Drops ($1.50 w/ 1.50RR) so I was using cough drops as my filler on my tampons and paying a little OOP since it was ALL free after RR except for tampons (i don't mind paying $1 for a $6 box!)

anyway, i had 4 of each (nothing too extravagant, right??) well the cashier tells me that she can only do 1 per day transaction (i laughed and said, seriously! i am NOT wiping you out, there is PLENTY left and this is kinda silly) so i asked to speak to the mgr.

NOW mind you, i was in great with the mgr last year, they ordered stock for me, let me roll my RR's etc. WELL HELLO NEW MGR!

he comes over and tells me it is 2 RR items PER WEEK. Ok, so 1 are you going to be here 24/7 (it's the 24 wags) and tell me i cannot come back in 9 hours later to buy something else?? and 2nd again, i am not wiping your stores.

THEN he tells me RR items are for New items that they're trying to get people to try. MY GRANDMA used dickinsons witch hazel, it's NOT NEW!!

so finally he agreed with letting me do my 2 transactions, and you can bet your hiney i requested the way i wanted so i'd get the least OOP and most RR back.

Well my question is, is this nationwide or something, this new policy or is my store seriously just trying to be hard to work with?? advice? should i call corp and make complaint? or just suck it up and deal with my 1-2 transactions per week?

*i am starting a coupon class for some people here in town, so if they keep the 1-2 RR per week.. there will be about 10 new people shopping at THAT store to use RR. It should be interesting!

You have an unfriendly coupon store. Your best bet is to try another one. WAGS has been getting worse recently with being anti-coupon. I only shop there when there is an absolutely amazing deal I can't pass up (which is usually out of stock anyway).

My WAGS has a little stamp that they put on the shelf tag, "Limit 2" or "Limit 4." Sometimes you just have to go out and come back in again, or come back the next day...if it's not all gone by then...but that's the game, isn't it?

No, there is no new national rule or anything, you just found yourself a jerk is all. If you have any other Wags near you, I'd try them first. I have 5 Wags fairly close to me and none of them have limits unless it's a really hot item and they didn't get much of it.

My store has a limit of two transactions per day with the exception of Saturday the limit is lifted and you can do as many transactions as you would like, but by then the stock is usually depleted....

I went to my local Wags and I had the same problem so I stopped shopping there. I found another one about half an hour away that never gives me a problem. The employees there are younger and they get a kick out of it. I have found that shopping the employees is just as important as shopping the sale and the store.

Same here! I avoid that store like the PLAGUE!!!!!! Freakin makes me sick to my stomach when I walk in there the way they treat me.

I haven't been to WAGS since the Nasal Ease week....up until 2 days ago for a few boxes of Nutri Grain bars. I'm going back today to see if they have Special K or Fiber One bars. They are so rude there! I have 10 WAGS within 6 miles so I usually try to go to other stores if I'll be near them.

Luckily the store near me gets trucks Saturday and by then the signs are all down so I usually luck out getting some last minute trips in...usually. They make it a point to not order or not restock FARR items at this store. They don't have signs that say limits they just don't stock the stuff at all. Other stores post signs and are pretty coupon friendly.

all my stores limit to 1 of each item per day but I have 4 stores so I just shop all of them. I live an hour from any stores so I only shop once a week. every Monday I spend 8 hours shopping and I have 4 wags on my shopping route. (sometimes I might hit same store again on my way back through, but it must be a HOT item)

Anyways regardless of that

Each store manager has the right to limit any items regardless if its an RR item or a non RR item

Since no one knows the situation for this particular store no one can truly answer why they limit it - It could just be they get so many couponers that they need to make sure they have product in stock ...

Think about it if you go to a store and they have nothing in stock and do this multiple times without getting products you want then your gonna quit going to that store - No point in going to that store if you come away empty handed every time

wags is getting a tad nasty. i used a rr for $2 on a 1.99 item and the young clerk said quite bluntly "you can't do that" i added a filler and she looked irritated that i knew to do that. if they want more business they should tell clerks to upsell customers and suggest they add fillers to their purchases.time was they used to let me get away with a penny more or less on deals, no more.

I have to wonder what the deal is with these places. Isn't the whole point of being in business is to make money? It sounds like wags enjoys leading the customers on and then being as rude and mean as they can so you won't buy from them.
I also refuse to go to wags. The one in my town has some nice employees but the limits and all the rules they set forth makes it near impossible to score a deal. Plus they don't keep good stock. The manager told me the trucks only come in with barely enough product to fill the shelf only. For the most part wags sucks. I don't like being led on by the ads. Rite aid wants my money/coupons so I go there mostly.

all we have here in my area is CVS and wags.. CVS is worse. I wish we had a rite aid, but none in texas when i got to louisana i shop there!!

trust me, i've gone to stores plenty of time and there is NOTHING left. I don't complain or gripe. I get it. But limiting me weekly? i guess he'll be in for a rude awakening when all the new coupon learners are in there working their "2 limit" RR deals! HA!

Honestly, for me it would be a deal breaker. I hate how CVS and Rite Aid limit it to 2 per card. That's why I don't shop at those stores.

Get multiple cards at RA...their rewards are not tied to the card like CVS.

NOT that employees or the corporation should take it out on customers in any way, but Walgreens is undergoing a lot of turmoil these days, and I wouldn't be surprised if it made some of the employees cranky. The new registers that seem to be a royal pain, the management re-structuring and pay cuts, the presumed drop in business due to losing ExpressScripts. Probably not a pleasant place to work...

I have seen signs on some of the stores in our area that states "1 RR deal per day" (meaning per product, not all of the RR deals).

My favorite Walgreens to shop at is the one that is in downtown Conroe at 105 and Frazier. I've had the store manager stop and ask me (with my coupon binder on my shopping cart) if I needed anything and when I would tell him that there are no more X product on the shelf, he would go to the back and check or scan the tag to see if they had anymore in stock and if not he either wrote me a raincheck or tells me he will order it and to come back to get it in a couple of days. I also have a great cashier there that I love going to, she is so excited to see what deals I get. The last time I went she gave me a copy of the next weeks ad (even though I told her I have a source online that I can see them a few weeks ahead of time.).

Hi neighbor! Well this is my fave store as well, and this is the store that i actually had the problem with. You know the older lady that is really brittle walking in beauty dept? (this is not a stereotype, she really is!) well she was my problem 1. Then the young mgr that is wheeling around on a hurt leg on the little half wheel chair thing... well he is my problem 2. I'm not sure how to approach this problem, because like i said.. I usually LOVE this store.. at least last year when i was couponing avidly.

Now THAT is the guy they need training the rest of the employees for WAGS. They maybe they could compete with CVS.

I know CVS has limits but that doesn't bother me, limits don't bother me when I know them upfront. It's being treated like a criminal or like I'm doing something wrong for getting deals THEY advertise and using coupons. The store near me have some of the most hateful people I've ever come across. I can't imagine what they're meetings are like

I read a post of a mod in another board say there are stores in TX that allow pre order all you want and they deliver. If that is an option for you and as long as you're not ordering by the pallets/several boxes to give them a reason to think you're a reseller, they may place extra orders for you. If you order 10 or less of identical items and let them know when you're going to pick it up and pay for them regularly, I don't see a reason why they'd refuse. But of course, they always have their own reasons for saying NO. But if customers order and pay for them, they are assured of a sale. Emphasis on reasonable amounts and customer pays for all items ordered regardless of what happens, i.e, they don't get their coupons on time or they got wrong coupons, something happens to their RRs they were planning to roll, they don't have money to pay for sales tax, etc. The reason other stores refuse pre orders is mainly because they have been burnt by those who place tons of special order and then abandon them without even notifying the store.

Today for the first time I was told a limit of 1 RR per person (per deal), I was getting Kelloggs. Luckily it was some nosy cashier screaming it to my cashier and my cashier couldn't have cared less Manager didn't say anything either, just the cashier who felt she should get involved...

I went in to pick up my free 8x10, and the BA greeted me and tried to get me to buy witch hazel, and the other free stuff (they had it all on a shelf). She also had a cheat sheet on the Sally Hansen nail polish where she listed the coupons etc to use to get the best deal. I guess they miss all of us that quit shopping there. I'm a CVSer now. Will do wags at xmas and for free photo deals.

this might be slightly off topic but i have been battling all week with wags on not getting my rx transfer gift card and after the 4th time calling corp. i finally spoke to an operator who told me "the corp reps are very busy what with traveling to stores and all and you probably won't hear from them for at least a week" say what? i told her i am busy too but i am not too busy to return imp. calls. i work 2 jobs and have a disabled child and i am able to take the time to do whatever needs to be done in my equally busy life. gee whiz

You need to find a friendly cashier- The one that I go to (I know her schedule) keeps my shopping list so she can get the same deals- it makes her happy and me too!

I also found out that she has a little one so I save her all the kiddy coupons and write down the good sales for her. She will text me if something good is on clearance so I can run over.
