Just want to give a heads up....


On several of my Walgreens visits today, the Renew First Cleanse that is on sale for $18 and giving the MIR wyb it at $18, the EWR shows on the receipt of $6, so this is charging an extra $6 when this item is ringing. Not sure how regional this is, but my managers have said they had this issue in the past. The EWR is the electronic waste for recycling for what I am told....I went through 5 fives to find them all similar, so check your receipts!

Also, I am sure this is to be an error when submitting for the rebate too. Not sure what they are to expect, but I will call walgreens rebates to see what they suggest.

Are you saying that you were charged an extra $6 fee when you purchased this? $18 + $6? I'm sure glad I didn't buy this today.

Yes....clearly a mistake that this EWR fee is attached to this product for some reason.

The following is my chat earlier with wags.....my chat with them didn't seem convincing enough to me, not sure if they knew what I was talking about, so I have saved it just in case they give me a $12 rebate amount instead of the $18. I tried calling but there is no number to talk to a live person, I kept getting the run-around from the message on the phone. Anyone have any other suggestions?

I don't know if this EWR is just showing in your state/county but my SIL bought it in NWAr and it rang up $18 and there's no subtracted amount anywhere in her receipt. So the sale price showing in her receipt is $18 and she paid with RRs from past trxn coming up with just tax OOP.

can this EWR be something like deposit for soda purchases that is implemented in certain states only? For that reason, it may be YMMV.

My manager told me this was a electronic waste recycling fee....you know when you buy a new tv and you pay that fee, its gets tact'ed on to your total. I have no clue why this is doing it. Some of the managers I came across said they used to do this a long time ago, some said they haven't seen this fee in awhile, and at one store we tried to take it off on the (new) registers and wasn't able, it wasn't highlighted for them to take off. Weird. I had my RR's expring yesterday and had to find something to blow the last 2 $10 on, so I'd thought I'd cash those in.
