Hello I am going to Wags shortly. Will I need a filler if I am buying 6 got2b and 1 Ukotex product? I have 6 $3.00 and 1 $1.00 off q. Thanks!

| The limit on the got 2 b is 4 per transaction. So you'd have to do 1 trxns. No filler needed in either trxn, but the got2b q will need to be adjusted down..

I just returned from wags. I did not know there was a limit. 6 went through. My total was $4.66 for those and the tampons. Plus I got a rr for $3 back. Now, is it true that I can use it on tampons again. If so can I do this exact same transaction again and pay with the rr?

how is it ringing up 5.99 and 0.00 or 5.99 5.99 and then -5.99 I wonder if the new registers are now counting a 0.00 value to the free one and then not applying the 3.00 coupon against it since it appears that most are saying that coupons are registering for 1/2 of their purchase. Any comments from those affected? |

| I find that what "they" theoretically "have to" do and what they actually will do is often quite different. Not just Wags though.....

I just printed all of the stores coupon policies and I have them ready for the cashiers. Wags policy is you can use 2 coupons on bogo sales. The got2b was $5.99 for 2. The first coupon took off $3.00 they had to override the system and put the 2nd $3.00 q in as $2.99... If they do that you will not need a filler. I did another transaction of 6 got2b used 6 qs and paid $1.39 it went through because of the policy.

...The $1.39 that I paid was for the tax.

Good for you, for being able to do that! I just know for me the time and stress involved in having to educate/debate their policy wouldn't be worth it to me. I feel like like many of the stores in my area have perfected the art of passive aggressive. For example, I was buying the tampon at wags that's giving the $3RR. It didn't give it. I know for sure there was nothing wrong with my transaction, but I was in a hurry and didn't want to go over it all with a fine tooth comb, so just said I'd like to take it off. Since the transaction had already completed, she said I'd have to go to another register and wait for a manager to do the return. There was no line, they weren't very busy, there seemed to be lots of employees around, but it took well over 5 minutes for the manager to show up at the register. I know even the original cashier thought it was a long time, because she paged him 3 times and was apologetic. Maybe 5-10 minutes doesn't seem like much, but I was in a big hurry. Finally the manager shows up and he's checking the receipt methodically (simple, short trans only about 6 items). I only wanted to return the silly tampons, geesh, so while it's taking so long, I said if giving me the RR would be faster, that's fine too, made no difference to me, I just need to get going. Then he starts analyzing even further and giving me incorrect reasons as to why RR didn't print. I cut him off and said it's fine, just the refund wound work. I also apologized for being grouchy and explained I was in a hurry........ |

Yes. They ring up $5.99 and then $0.00. Its just so frustrating to have to explain to them how to adjust or whatever, they always look at me like if im from another planet or something.

| Hey, at least they go with the suggestion/direction, despite the look. Our cashiers would give that same look AND definitely not believe or be willing to try, because I'm "just" a customer, why would I know more about their job, than them? LOL Although there is one really great cashier at a more out of the way Wags, who probably would listen. She stands out as much more rational and educated than the rest, but she's definitely the exception. And I'd really hate to get on the bad side of the one cashier I truly like LOL

The first time they had this Got2b BOGO I tried using 2 Q's they said no, I left. I was new at that time and didn't have the policy with me or even know for sure if the policy said I could. Then came the Cortaid BOGO, same exact scenario. $5.99 2 $3 Q's. Cashier said no, called mgr and she said no. I said the last time this happened I emailed corporate and they said to bring the policy with me next time (tiny white lie so shoot me ) So she asked for the policy. I pulled it out and she said "cool beans" and proceeded to give me my free Cortaid. Then I said I was going to get a few more and would be right back. I only got 2 because it was not marked on the shelf it was Sat last day of sale andI wanted to be sure it was the right kind.I parked my cart, the manager was gone at that point. I walked over to the shelf, the manager came up behind me and told me I could only get 2 more sorry, after that she can't help me. She said it just like that. I was with my daughter, she was slightly loud and the people in the pharmacy waiting were all staring. Talk about embarrassing! Ever since then they follow me around the store, stare at what's in my cart, are just plain rude and make me uncomfortable. We had a few words when she told me that, right away I stated I didn't know there was a limit and flipped through the ad and she said oh we can limit if we want to. I now know that but she was just not nice about it. It was the last day of the sale and there still would've been more on the shelf. I avoid that store like the plague |

I tend to have trouble with Walgreens. I have 4 of these coupons left and want to do 1 transaction, but I'm a bit frightened. Ha. I know there will be issues and cashiers won't adjust without the approval of the manager either. I'll just have to make sure I have the policy with me. But I do know that one particular Wags, the manager has told me that HE sets the rules and it is what it is. I avoid that store as much as I can. How does it work though... if one rings up 5.99 while the other is 0.00. How do you explain to them that it's okay to take 2 coupons? I'm always nervous trying to explain it to them because they make me feel completely fraudulent even though I am following policy!

This is directly from their policy. I suggest you do what I did and say last time you had a problem with this particular type of deal you emailed corporate and they told you to bring the coupon policy with you Then show them where it says this:Buy One, Get One Free Coupons When items are featured in a Buy One, Get One Free promotion, up to two coupons can be used against the items being purchased, as long as the net price does not go below zero for the items being purchased. Sales tax must be paid for any Buy One, Get One Free coupon offers, if required by applicable state laws. Quote:

I assume that when the stores were training on their Coupon polices that maybe some of the cashiers were off or on vacation. But there is no excuse for them not having the policy printed at the registers. It would help speed the questionable transaction up and it would stop all the huffing and puffing going on behind us. We may be delaying the line because we sometimes have to train them on their job.

The coupon policy also said: the coupon must be reduced if it exceeds the value of the item after other discounts or coupons are applied. And in parenthesis it said (for example. A $5.00 coupon for a $4.99 item will result in a $4.99 coupon value).

Oh yes, this part: Multiple Coupons When purchasing a single item, Walgreens accepts one manufacturer coupon and applicable Walgreens coupon(s) for the purchase of a single item, unless prohibited by either coupon offer. The coupon amount must be reduced if it exceeds the value of the item after other discounts or coupons are applied. (For example, a $5.00 coupon for a $4.99 item will result in a $4.99 coupon value). When purchasing multiple items, Walgreens accepts multiple identical coupons for multiple qualifying items as long as there is sufficient stock to satisfy other customers, unless a limit is specified. Management reserves the right to limit the quantity of items purchased. I just always have it with me and try to know where it is and I don't have any problems as far as refusal. My problem now is the attitude and feeling uncomfortable. I'm working on it though, I'm not going to stop getting deals because they have a problem with it. I'm not doing anything wrong trying to use coupons according to THEIR coupon policy. It's up to us to know the details and speak up even when they don't know it themselves |

I just went in and bought 4 and the 4th coupon beeped. She called over a manager and he said I had to have a filler that he couldn't adjust the q. I was in a hurry and had all 4 kids with me so I grabbed the cheapest thing(I was in the cosmetic section) which was some sinful colors nail polish which was $1.99 plus tax. Was the guy right that I needed a filler? I just spent money on something that I didn't have the money for Thanks!Sent from my HTC EVO using AFullCup |
