I only tried the tall blue pkgs. 2 Different stores worked when I bought the tall WOW pkgs I got the $2 Catalina. When I tried the same transaction at a store with the new registers, I didn't get a Catalina at all, so I returned them .

I got a printout from the Catalina Machine at Walgreen's a while back that said that the Catalina promotion was between 4/3/12-4/28/12 for the Cottonelle.

I tried both blue packs---the one with WOW! and the plain one and they both spit out a Catalina.

Are we talking about the Cottonelle $5 packs with 12 rolls, 138 1-ply sheets per roll?

Isn't this crap toilet paper? So, this is effectively $8 for two packs (minus whatever RRs you use)? They had some off-brand a couple spots down, $5 12 rolls/pack, 324 2-ply sheets per roll and about a pound heavier in weight that seems like it would be a better buy... maybe?

I think everyone has their own toilet paper preference .. it's not crap to me tho my plan all wk has been roll $9 Nasal Ease RR w Cottonelle get $2 RR, repeat (popular scenario) My last trip was paid $7 oop after tax for 2 Nasal Ease, 2 Cottonelle, & a few small filler items & walked out w $9 RR! That's a good deal, I think

Was in Walgreens again yesterday... even the Nice brand packs (2 x $5 - $2RR) seemed like better stuff.

I doubled check the blue Cottonelle Packs and the purple Cottonelle packs. The blue packs are 1-ply and the purple ones are 2-ply. I'm like you! Who cares, especially when it's literally $$ going down the toilet--haha!

I bought two of the purple ones with the "wow" on it and I did not get a RR?? I did use a previous RR from huggies. Are they from the same company, and so it would not trigger a RR?? Why did I not get one? And are the plane 12 pack blue ones triggering the RR even if they do not say 5 or "wow" on them??

Ive gotten over 13 packs of them in the last few weeks (rolled most of em with the nasalease and similasan RRs). I always got the blue 12 pack with the blue that said wow.. Never tried any others... HTH

Weird, I got (2) blue's on Monday, and no RR. But I didn't figure that out til I was @ home, and at that point - was too lazy to go back to the store (and had to remind myself - had gotten some awesome MM the week b4s) ... Will try it again later today.

I've only tried the tall blue packages. I want to try the purple ones. My local stores don't have the short packages, nor the green/Gentle Care.

I did this deal on the 23rd, and did not recieve the catalina. I contacted the company and they emailed me the following response:

Hello,

Thank you for contacting the Catalina Marketing Helpdesk,

Thank you for providing your information. After reviewing your transaction, we
found that you have used a coupon in the transaction. We apologize but will not
be able to issue a coupon for this promotion. Please contact the store for more
details.

Is this a new policy? Are we no longer allowed to use coupons on items to qualify for the catalina?

I use coupons for every single transaction at Walgreens. That's not their policy, at least as it stands now. The only reason you wouldn't have gotten the RR for using a coupon is if you used a Cottonnelle RR in that transaction.

Nope, I just used Cottonelle MQ and RRs from... the Kotex deal if I remember correctly.

They are both Kimberly Clark products, so that may be why it didn't print.

You're right. Sometimes, if the amount is the same/same company, the barcode is the same. I don't have a Cottonelle RR to compare with the Kotex RR, but that could be the problem. I've even seen the barcode for a MQ and RR be the same once or twice, which cancelled out the RR. It's only happened a couple of times, but it can be very frustrating.

Ahh, that might have been it, though the Kotex RR are $3 and the Cottonelle would have been for $2.

Any idea why the Catalina company is telling me I can't get my RR, though? Did I just get someone who didn't know what they were talking about?
