The January booklet Q for $2/1 Alka-Seltzer expires on 1/28 so I assume it can't be used on Sunday 1-29 right? The stores here start their sale prices at 6pm Saturday night so I guess I could do the deal Saturday night but not get the RR.... that would put it to free vs. .74 each with the RR

I hope this worked out for you. I bought 6 or 7 boxes last weekend and didn't get any RRs. But I'm happy with cheap Alka Seltzer. :-)

The are ringing up free tonight only for the regular Alka-Seltzer. Since tomorrow's prices are loaded already they are ringing for $3.99. Use $2 off any 1 from the 1/1 SS and the $2/1 from the January IVC.

I wish the IVC would also work for Alka-Seltzer Plus. Tried it and no luck.

I tried this at my local Wags tonight. I didn't work.

Bought:
4 alka-seltzer plus packs (3.99 ea)

Used:
3 $2 off coupons
1 $1 off coupon

Total before coupons was $18XX
After coupons $11XX

No RR printed. Inquired about the RR with manager, she stated since my total AFTER coupons was under the required $15, I can't get the RR. She stated this is a new policy and now even the employees who use their discounts can't even get RR if the total AFTER the discount is below the required amount. So I guess wags is cracking down on the coupon usage with RR products. Such a disappointment. : (

This has happened to me yesterday, the cashier said the same thing "AFTER" your coupons. Boo!!! So I returned the Alka Seltzers back. I don't see this new policy posted anywhere.

I don't think that's true. I think what happened is that the prices started early, but the catalinas wouldn't print until sometime after midnight Saturday night/ Sunday morning. They can start the sale prices early, but not the RRs to print.

I didn't make it clear in my original post- the sale prices started at 6pm on Saturday night (at least at the stores I go to) but the RR will NOT print until SUNDAY. I had to do the deal Saturday night because the Wag Q expired that day.

I did do this deal and ended up with 5 boxes free (Orignal)
