| $10 MM on Accu-Check Aviva?
In the ad, it says it is on-sale for $14.99. There is a $14.99 MIR form in the package, making it free (and also a great way to burn up some RR's!). Above it, it also says there is a $10 Register Reward for purchasing it!

On the bottom it says it's only available only to uninsured patients so I think the RR would print but you wouldn't get the mail in rebate, so you'd be spending $4.99 for it. Can anyone confirm this |

I don't have insurance, so I should get the rebate I think? The RR should definitely print...the catalina machine isn't going to know if you have insurance or not .

I bought one, the register reward printed. No question about insurance. Has anyone opened to see rebate terms?

I'm gonna get one my next trip. If I don't get the rebate, I'll just throw the monitor up on ebay and make my $5 back.

It's almost always one per household. You could always try using a friend's address or a work address, if you wanted.

I'm glad someone else brought this up, I had kind of forgotten about it after I sent in for my rebate. I really don't think I'll get it though, because it says, "Total of rebate amount not to exceed purchase price (after coupons) of care kit plus tax." I also burned up RR buying this thing, and I only spent $5.72 OOP for that whole purchase, and I had other items. Since the RR shows up on the receipt as manufacturer coupons, and it stipulated 'price after coupons.' I really don't know. I just circled the monitor on the itemized list showing I paid $14.99 and we'll see what happens, but honestly I think I won't get the rebate just because I used old RR to pay for it. We'll see. |

i used RR to pay for mine too. I'm going to mail it in just to see what they send me. I was able to find a coupon for $5 off the monitor so it was FARR for me. |

I am getting mine ready to send off and am now concerned about the "after coupons" thing. My total was $2.22 after everything. I called the number and the woman said she didn't know but gave me numbers for Rebate questions, but of course they're closed now. Its a shame that RR ring up as coupons because they're not. Had I known this might be an issue I would have saved them for another item. ![]() The numbers she gave me are: 1-800-933-3032 1-888-385-5643 Last edited by Qpony; 12-08-2011 at 05:04 PM. |

That's great to hear, I was thinking about going back and talking to the manager and seeing if they would do something like that but now that you posted this I have more courage to do so, . Thanks |

I just got off the phone with the rebate people and they said I would only get a rebate for what I paid "out of pocket". So I lost about $12 in RR, $15 if they don't reimburse me for tax which I'm guessing they don't.) So I guess now I see if walgreens will let me return the item. ![]() ETA: I tried to explain to her that I did not use a coupon for the product itself and that I could have used the Register Rewards for other things but she said it doesn't matter. |

Going to try to get a rebate receipt! I hope they can do it retroactively.

Maybe try just exchanging it for the same item , so another receipt will print for the exchange ..might work

AWW bummer. I wasted a lot of RR too, I might get like $5 back from them but that's it. Since I already opened the package and took out the rebate info and sent it in I can't return the monitor. If I do get my $5 back I broke even, making it free. That's okay though really, my mother is a diabetic and she found someone who needed a new monitor at her diabetes management class. It's going to a good place, hopefully I won't end up paying anything for the monitor, and it was a good lesson for all of us to watch those RRs on MIR offers.

If I was going to get back $5 I would send it in since I did get $10 RR back from buying it. But... my total before tax was .83. . Just not worth the trouble really.

Just return it if you haven't opened it. Free $10 RR.

EDIT: Googled and answered my own question. Still going to try to get the rebate receipt first!

| If the meter is returned, the RR earned should also be turned in to get the full refund price. Otherwise, the store may subtract $10 and give 4.99 plus tax, if any. This is fair to both store and customer.

That's at the manager's discretion. Whatever they say goes, I guess. I did the Accu-check rebate a couple months ago, had a $0.48 subtotal...and still got the $15 rebate. So, not sure if this will work or not. |

My question is, are there actual Aviva coupons floating around out there? If not, then the company shouldn't refuse to refund the full price if a valid Aviva coupon wasn't used on the product (and doesn't exist). For example, if I buy this meter and a bunch of crest toothpaste, and I used $14 worth of Crest qs, then why should I not be fully rebated? Those $14 in qs will be reimbursed to the store by Crest/P&G, NOT Aviva, so it doesn't make any sense for Aviva to penalize the consumer. I'm sorry for the rant , but after reading some of the posts about possibly not getting the full rebate, it bothers me and it doesn't seem right. I actually bought the meter for my aunt (elderly woman, poor insurance, host of medical problems) and purchased some other RR generating items in the same transaction which was about $33, but i got back some jingle bucks and $11in RR. My receipt reads $5 in manufacturer coupons. I'm hoping that the Aviva people don't deduct it from the purchase price.

. I don't buy meters anymore because I tried to get some rebates in the past on free ones from cvs and I was denied the rebate.
