Didn't scan for me either (the booklet coupon). The cashier was great and modified the price of the gum. Then my last $1/2 coupon wouldnt scan Ugh what a big mess. I ended up paying $.90 for 10 packs of gum Not too bad for the amount of work it caused

I tried to buy10 packs the in ad and mq went thru but not the monthly q. The mgr said I could use either in ad or monthly not both I also had filler's...the little candy at register...please help anyone know what's the problem?

it isn't because you used coupons, it wouldn't work for me even without the MQ's-mgr said he would put in a fix it order or something like that and hopefully it will get fixed soon!

I didn't go to my normal Walgreen's today. It was a pain and I ended up leaving without my 12 packs of gum. Will try the Walgreens I normally shop at tomorrow. They told me the coupons in the monthly book were now considered a manufacturers coupon. I responded with, "oh I can use them at any store?" Well no, but they are not considered store coupons - huh?

Did you use the in ad coupon to bring them to sale price of 99 cents? Did your IVC from the Oct monthly book work? That seems to be the one that is causing problems

When my husband tried it today, it was a $1 off 2 packs coupon, from Walgreens and so even though the packs were $1.50, with the Walgreens coupon and the UP2U coupon, we ended up spending $1 for 2 packs of gum. Not shabby, but not free.

The WAGS book coupon is not working for this. My manager had to price modify each pack to 50 cents each then scan my man Q's which made all 18 packs free for me.

Walgreen weekly coupon scan last .99 cent each - $4.00

I Paid .59 cent include tax for 12 pack of gum!!!

I ended up paying .41 and that was only tax, they voided the transaction 3 times trying to get it to work and as we found out the $1/2 monthly q was not working any kind of way it was put, whether it be scanned first, second or last it just beeped, so the manager modified each of my 12 gums to .50 each for a total of $6 and just used my $1/2 mq which took off $6 and that left me paying the .41 for 12 pks

My IFC did not work today then the manager said only one wags q a transaction! Ugh!!! I am new to this so I have no idea

When the IVC wouldn't work at 5 am, my manager thought it was because I had used Manufacturer's coupons. So we tried ringing up each flavor by itself, with no coupons, and the IVC still wouldn't scan. He sent a notice to corporate, who sent him back a sort of a form note saying that when it's the beginning of the new sales cycle, it may take some time for various things to start working, and they listed a bunch of things. The IVCs, I think , were included. He would not manually enter the coupon or anything; I just have to spend my gas to come back another time.

I have two really great Wags and they did a similar thing at the first Wags only the BA tried price modifying to 0.99/ pack and then scanning the in ad coupon (since we knew the monthly was the problem). Then the manager let us know that no Wags coupons would work after an item has been price modified since the computer update...so for those having that issue, that is why.

Also if your Wags price modifies to 0.49 be prepared to need 0.02 worth of filler (per pair) so that you can fully use the $1/2 MF. This filler is because of the overage that you will get, not because of an item count issue. I had thought the new updates killed any overage possibility but I know both of these Wags have gotten the update and I had the overage issue at both!

I just paid $5 for the gum... the cashier was real nice after waiting and price modifying... but that is WAY too much $ for gum.... I plan on going later in the week to return it all... (10 packs) do you think i need to give a reason or just plain "i'd like to return this please..."

Please don't return the gum people. They have to throw it away if you return it just like food. Don't leave the cash register till it is right or leave without the gum.

Take your receipt back and see if they will work with you

I purchased 32 packs at two different wallgreen, I was told that the new system will not allow them to take 2 wags coupons. I got 32 packs of gum for .49 cents a pack which is not bad if you use it all the time. I also had trouble and they voided my order 3 times trying different ways. I am not happy with the way wags systems are set up now I was not even allowed to use all my manu coupons cause the last 2 the computer would not take. I was told tat they can not manually put the q;s in anymore cause the new update will not allow it....ughhhhh i am so done with wags for a while

My personal opinion... since you knew the gum should be free I don't think you should have paid $5 to start with and then return. When it came up to $5 I think you should have pointed it out it should not be that much. If it were me I would just keep the gum at this point. I would hate to think I was buying gum at the store that had been taken out of the store and returned... kinda creeps me out

hm. well the cashier was super nice... but they are never nice when u say "oh it should have been free"... I never knew they threw out the food once u returned it... I always thought returning any item unopened was reshelved... in fact I am almost positive that is what they do in any store (unopened not opened...yuck). I will go back and see if they will work with me...but later in the week... if the IVC works then I will just return and re buy what I already bought so no one, including myself, gets creaped out We all knew it should be free but apparently Wags did too... probably why the coupon isn't working for us I did say that my total shouldn't have been that high but this cashier equally wasn't helpful...she was just nice

Mon 9/26 - 2 pm OH time: The gum transaction is a huge nightmare to try and do. No matter how cashier and MOD tried to ring it up, the IVC cpn would not scan. I explained how it would be free by using the cpns that were available to us. MOD tried to say we couldn't use both the in ad cpn and the IVC, which I remember that we've done before many times. Cashier tried to pm to 99c, but the IVC still would not work. We even tried to ring up 4 packs, which was a no go and tried ringing up just 2 packs, which also was a no go. I hope they get this fixed real soon. Also the TheraFlu did not print out the $5 RR. We verified that I picked up the right products (which I did). MOD gave me a $5 gift card - I would have really preferred to have a $5 RR to use on another trans that would produce a RR. Not a good afternoon at WAGS :-p

Got 40 packs(total) of gum at 3 Wags and each time the cashier simply price modified the gum to .49 and adjusted my Q to 98 cents. It was a little time consuming but it seems all my trips are when I shop with Qs. Took a little longer but it was free gum for the kids so it was worth it.

You shouldnt need to give a reason provided you have a receipt but if you do explain the full reason the store might be willing to work with you rather than take the loss of throwing the gum out.

I agree with you for most circumstances but this is a programming glitch on Wags part so I dont understand why the customer should eat the loss. Yes it would be better if the poster had resolved it right then and above I advocate trying to work out the issue rather than just a return. But $5 is a lot for the customer to absorb for Wags programming issue, I have brought up past issues (with receipt when I am returning to a store) for far less.

The gum was a pretty big nightmare at the first store I tried too. One of my fav BAs was ringing me up at the second so I warned her of the issue before she started. We figured we would give it one try regularly (since the registers do seem to be programmed different store to store) and when that didnt work she just price modded to 0.49. It went pretty smoothly after that except I had forgotten about the 0.01 overage per pack so I couldnt use a RR to pay as I was short a bit. But that was totally my error.

Why couldnt you just use the gift card to pay for another RR producing item as you originally planned? Did they place restraints on the GC? I love it on the rare occasion that is how they solve a RR not printing for me (usually they will just force print a RR or price modify). If fact if ever given the choice a gift card is what I would choose every time...cash is king baby (and that's about as close to Wags giving cash as we can expect)!
