| Batteries raincheck
When the batteries were on sale, my store was out so I got a raincheck. The manager wrote on the raincheck a price of 4.99. Now it was for the Enigizer lithium batteries that should have been 4.99 with the September coupon. My question is, can I still use that coupon and make the batteries free since he just wrote 4.99 for the price? It was the $5 coupon.

NO!!! He wrote 4.99 because that was the price AFTER the coupon! He did this so that if you didn't buy the product until after this month, you could still get the sale price. It wouldn't be right to use the coupon on top of the 4.99 price.

I can see both sides. Imo, when a rain check is written, thats supposed to be the stores sale price, if they wanted u to be able to use a store q that should have been noted but not deducted from rc pricing. I could be very wrong. I dont deal with rc very often gl with that.

Sorry, went back and read the entire thing OP wrote when she said should have been $4.99 w/ coupon. All you have to do then is use a Manufacturer's q with it...I think there is a $2 so =$3...there! I guess it is what you feel comfortable with doing; however, I am sure the manager knew what he/she was doing when they wrote the RC too. The reason I was so quick to write yes (should have read everything first) is because I received a raincheck before and recall the manager writing it for less than the sales price...but it may have been because of an RR. Sorry for the confusion...was trying to help. Last edited by SouthernBellSaver; 09-12-2011 at 09:56 AM. |
