Here is my question: I have $2.00 off cp for nutripals bars Walgreens has Nutripal bars: 2/9.00 - $3 (register rewards good on next purchase) = 2/$6 So can I use my $2.00 off and still get the $3.00 reward???? So I would be paying what, oh know I have confussed myself?!?!? And is the reward for any purchase or just the next time I buy nutri????? Still new at this. ![]()

DJ: Yes, you should be able to do this, no prob. In fact, you should be able to use (2) $2.00 off coupons - one for each item you are purchasing. First Purchase: 2/$9.00 -(2) $2.00 off coupons = 2/$5.00 <---This would be your OOP before tax Then get a $3.00 Catalina The Catalina should be for anything on your next purchase UNLESS it specifies otherwise. Next purchase would be: 2/$9.00 -(2) $2.00 off coupons = 2/$5.00 -$3.00 Register Rewards = 2/$2.00 (Receive a new $3.00 RR - now you have $1.00 profit )NOW...keep in mind the register logic everyone talks about...I BELIEVE the RR is considered a manufacturer coupon...so you would need 3 products - if you are using 3 "coupons" - if ALL you are getting is the Nutri-pals then throw in a pack of gum or something little to balance it out. Are you confused enough yet???? HTH And BY ALL MEANS...if anyone cares to differ, please do so. ![]() This has just been my experience.

Walgreens DOES accept MFR coups WITH their own coups. Yes. Longs, do not know. Don't have one of those.

Yes it works! I did it today (Sunday)! I used a $2.00 and a $1.00 coup, no problem. So I paid $6.00 at the register, and then out printed my $3.00 RR, plus a catalina for $1.00 off my next purchase of 3 Nutripals items. ![]() |

FYI, I went a bought the Nutripal bars today the $3 reigster reward that prints out is a manufacturer cp so they would not let me use my nutripal coupons in with it. On top of that the cashier runs out of paper to print my last $3 RR, she said "I'm sorry I'm out of paper" and said thanks and handed me my bag. I guess I was suppose to leave??????I would not leave until the manager found some more paper. (my baby fussing and crying all this time) Still a good deal for nutripals just not a great deal. That combined with my Target experiences today, made it a not so coupon friendly day.

I had some from a sunday paper ad and some from a display at a store. These were all mailed to me in a swap so I'm not sure where she got them.

I'm still confused. Ok I got six boxes of Nutripals. Was going to make 3 different transaction. First: 2 boxes I handed her two nutripal coupon $2.00 each so 2/$9- $4.00 in CP=5 then I thought I would get the $3.00 RR but she would only take one coupon for $2.00 and I didn't get any RR Second: 2 boxes no $2.00 coupon used because she said I could NOT combine two manufacturer CP on one order and the RR was a manufacter CP. OK so I just got the $3.00 off this order But the machine gave me a $1 off 2 boxes of Nutripals Third: Same thing and second transaction but got a $1.00 off three nutripals SO did I get on this deal. I called a manger at another one and he said he would have taken my $2.00 cp but was not sure the $3 RR would have worked either because it would have made the price to low for the RR! NOW WHAT???Advice.....Please... does this even make sense?? I left completey confused and paying more than I did a walmart last week. But it could be worse I could have just paid full price before I got into CP because of everyone here.

djcullen: sounds like you are very NEW to Walgreens Register Rewards thing. I am going to try and explain how this promotion "should" work, and if this does not help, please feel free to ask more questions. WHAT TO BUY: You have to purchase 2 items per transaction/receipt in order to get R.Reward coupon $3. .....if buy 1 = no R.Reward at all .....if buy 4 = no good, still only 1 R.Reward coupon (to get more R.Rewards, you have to make separate transactions) USING MFR COUPONS: Generally, if you have mfr cps for the product - you are allowed to use them. It will NOT affect the qualification for R.Rewards. HOWEVER: you have to read the rules (fine print) on your mfr cps. USUALLY: mfr coupons state 'limit 1 per purchase'.That means = ok to use 1 mfr cpn per each item. SOMETIMES: mfr coupons state 'limit 1 per transaction' (or 'person', or 'household', or 'family', or 'store visit'). If that is the case with YOUR mfr cps - then you may only use 1 coupon per each transaction. RECEIVING R.REWARD: try to always ask your cashier ahead of time "do you know if coupon unit at this register is working today? sometimes it is out of paper, or out of ink? Would you mind checking please? I am expecting a R.Rewards coupon with my purchase today" There is a light on coupon unit, which should be green. If it is red = definetely broken. Sometimes, they may need to replace paper or ink, or simply close the cover of unit. There is a button on top of unit, next to area where coupons come out from. If you or cashier can push that button once -> a little bit of blank coupon paper must come out. If it does not - means there is no paper, or paper jam.

| USING THE R.REWARDS COUPONS: "Register Rewards" coupons are advertised in sale ads "use as cash, on your NEXT purchase". That means they are valid on ANYTHING you want to buy, except any items that are specifically excluded by the terms printed on actual R.Rewards coupon. You have to read that coupon to find out. I don't know, have not seen one yet. Keep in mind: managers do have the right to decide so & tell you, that you may only use R.Rewards on another day, not on next transaction. Lets say that YOUR manager will permit use of R.Rewards on next transaction. Now it gets a little bit tricky and confusing. The way registers at Walgreens work these days is: you must have same or lower ## of mfr coupons, as the ## of products in each transaction. Scenario 1. + buy 2 items - use mfr cpn for both items (either 2 x $2/1 or 1 x $2/2) ========================================== = make payment The register will NOT allow use of R.Rewards coupon in addition to mfr cps. Do not pay much attention to what explanation a cashier might give you. The R.Rewards programme is new to Walgreens, and most employees have not been trained properly => they have no idea why it works this way. Scenario 2. + buy 2 items part of promotion + buy 1 item we couponers call a "filler" (a candy bar for 33c or pencils for 15c) - use mfr cpn for both promo items (either 2 x $2/1 or 1 x $2/2) - use $3 R.Rewards cpn from previous transaction ================================================== ============ = make payment YES, the register WILL allow use of 1(one) R.Rewards coupon in addition to mfr cps, because you now have 3 items and mfr cps for 3 items There are more scenarios for YOUR specific shopping. Before we continue, please post details of 'rules', if any are printed on YOUR coupons: - for the mfr cps you have for the products - for the the $3 R.Reward coupon you got from previous transaction. | Thanks! Deal Scout . I live 35 miles away from the nearest Walgreens so I have never done any of their deals. The great news is they have started construction on a Walgreens in my town. Hurray! I am printing all the information so I will be ready when the doors open. |

This is my very first time using the RR at walgreens. I could not find anything on their website explaining it. Ok , all my Manu. cp are Save $2.00 on nutipals 6pack Bars (Limit 1 coupon per transaction) Walgreens deal was this buy 2 boxes for $9.00 get $3.00 in RR = $6.00 total for two boxes. This is how I thought my deal would work: Purchase two boxes for $9 give them one of my $2.00 off coupons and then the $3.00 RR would take another $3 off making a total of $4.00 for the two boxes. Instead the cashier would not let me use my $2.00 off coupons in conjuction with the $3.00 RR on any of my transactions. So all I saved on the first on was $2 and on the second and third transaction only the $3.00 RR (although I felt like I should have been able to use my $2.00 cp plus the RR for the second and third transaction. Deal Scout, please show me an example of how my transaction should have worked. Thanks so much for all your help. ![]()

Few questions for you: What does it say on RR coupon: - "save $3 on your next purchase of Nutripals" or - "save $3 on your Next Shopping Order" ? In store, did cashier - TRY to scan $3 RR on your next transaction and coupon beeped ? or - refused to try alltogether ?
