Help Sign WAG question

Will they accept a Catalina, a WAG ES coupon, & MFR?
Here's what I have:
$4 catalina
$2 from easy saver
$2 MFR
The venus & gillette fusions will be down to $8 according to the add
So I would just pay tax, is this right??

Yes, that combination would work at mine.

But I don't know if you can use more coupons than the number of items you're purchasing--I think I've had problems at my Wag's (for sure at CVS!). So in your case, I would buy the razor and then buy the 4 packs of filler/notebook paper that are free after rebate. You're buying at least 5 items and not using 5 coupons that way. hth!

The register will accept 1 Mfr coup per item in the transaction. If the cat is a Mfr, you'll need either a small filler item, or a manager needs to manually enter the cat or manually combine the 2 Mfrs in one entry.

Ok so I went to WAG today. They wouldn't let me use all the coupons though for the razor. Although everyone there was really nice so I didn't want to complain. They let me use the $4 CAT & the $2 from the Easysaver but not the other MFR. So I paid less than $3 for the razor, not too bad.
Also I was looking at the Off bug spray & a guy asked if he could help & asked him the price of something. He went & checked it for me & brought me back a $1 coupon (not from the easysaver but a MFR....which is more than the one I had for $0.55) I will shop there more often just b/c everyone is so nice.

What did the catalina say? Was it $4 off your next order at Walgreen's (therefore, a general cat)? Was it issued by a specific manufacturer? (I'm thinking Glucerna, as theirs was $4.)

I have had the following problems using cats:

1. Using the catalinas issued by Boost or Glucerna WITH a manu coupon for the purchase of a new pack of Boost or Glucerna cereal. They beep and either I take the cat back (to use when I'm not buying those items) or cashier/manager forces it through.

2. I've also had a manager refuse to let me use the $4 off your next order (issued by Glucerna) to buy ice cream--they think it's only for Glucerna. This is just stupidity or lack of training on the employee's part--the system would have accepted it. (Actually my son was trying to buy it while I waited in the car, otherwise I would have insisted that they scan it and see that it didn't beep--anyway, we just kept the cat and bought stuff next time with it.)

Same thing happened to me when I tried to use the mfr with the ez catalog coupon on the Intuition razor (I was going for an $8.00 overage to put towards the 11.00 worth of other stuff in my cart) but it wouldn't take the EZ saver one - so because the razors were already free - I just let it go. Too bad. Would've been a good deal.

The CAT was for a venus or gillette razor. I bought another venus razor.

The regular coupon will usually beep if you use it after the catalina from the same manufacturer. So generally scan your cats last beginning with the highest value.

You use a regular coupon. The register requires & finds an item match. Then you use an OYNO. The register looks for an item to match from that manufacturer, but doesn't require that match because it's good on anything, so the cat matches to any other item not already matched by a coupon.

If you use the OYNO first, it will item match to your item from that manufacturer. Then the regular coupon will beep.

You also need to be sure your total # of mfr coups doesn't exceed your total # of items scanned, or a manual entry will be required.

Some coupons (OYNOs & others) will always beep if the value amount off is not a preprogrammed amount in the register. The $4.59 Glucerna OYNO is an example of this & beeps & needs manual entry. You still need to use it in the order I said above.
