RR for Tylenol products got $6?? Today I bought several Tylenol products and ended up with $6 in RR, I only planned on getting $4 in RR, this is what I bought. 2 Tylenol Simply Sleep $3.49 ea. 4 Tylenol Sinus $4.99 ea. ( I meant to get 3 but was in a hurry and bought 4) 1 Tylenol rapid release $3.49 3 Robitussin $3.99 ea. Total before coupons $42.40 Total after coupons & ES $15.40. Rec'd $16 in RR total. $10 RR for Robitussin, $4 RR for Tylenol sinus, and $2 RR for ..... I don't know??? I'm more than happy with my total because it was all free plus I made a $.60 profit, but what triggered the $2 RR? Do all the Tylenol products trigger the RR, because I thought it was only the Cold/sinus/allergy that are $4.99. Should I have gotten more back? I hope I make sense, it's really late, I'm just hoping you brainy experts can tell me. TIA.

The extra $2 rr (does your $2 rr say it's from the company that makes tylenol like maybe the $4 rr) must be for the tylenol stuff because it was buy 2 get $2, buy 3 or more get $4-but maybe there was a glitch in how the system worked and you got both...I forgot about the sale on the tylenol-I know there's a es coupon for $1 is there a manufacturer or printable also? Oh and by the way "Great Job!!". ![]() Last edited by lah123; 09-09-2008 at 03:04 AM.

Same thing happened to me yesterday with the extra $2 RR at one store. The RR for $2 has "Thanks from McNeil-PPC". I got the following: 1 Tylenol Cold 1 Tylenol Allergy 1 Tylenol Sinus 1 Tylenol PM 4 bags Chex Mix 3 Robitussin 3 Highlighters - clearanced .17 fillers Used following coupons: - 2/$2.50 MC for Tylenol Cold & Sinus - 1/$1.50 MC for Tylenol Allergy (was a peelie on the box) - 3/$1.50 ES coupons for Tylenol Cold, Sinus, Allergy - 1/$2 for MC Tylenol PM - 1/$1 ES ES coupon for Tylenol PM - 3/$3 for MC Robitussin - 2/$1.00 MC for Chex - 2/$0.60 MC for Chex -5.00 register rebates The cashier had some issues with the coupons taking. The ES tylenol $1.50 coupons wouldn't scan so the asst. manager had to reduce the price by $1.50 each. One of my $1 RR from last week's excedrin campaign would not scan either. And my $2 off Tylenol PM coupon beeped as well. Asst. manager pushed all through. Total OOP including tax = $6.28 At the end of the transaction, the catalina printed out 3 RRs = 1 $2 (???), 1 $4 (for tylenol) and only $5 for robitussin plus a $2 off Advil coupon. I told the asst. manager I should have received $10 for the robitussin. The asst. manager re-rang the robitussin as a return then new sale and the catalina printed out another $5 RR. He thinks it was because I got three different types of robitussin (cough & cold, nitghtime TM, and DM). So at the end, for above transaction I got following RRs= $2 + $4 + $5 + $5 = $16 RR's - 6.28 OOP = $9.72 Profit! I didn't think I was even going to go this week to Walgreens until I saw the robitussin deal.....Now I'm stocked for this winter! Thanks to everyone that posted the info it!!!!!!!!!!

The only thing I bought was 2 boxes of Tylenol allergy pills and I got 2 $2RR. I was thrilled as I also used 2 $1 q's, so I feel I got them for a decent price.

I assume that you are all using the $3 of any Robitussin from the generator. Mine says one per purchse. Did they let you use 3 q's in one transaction? TIA

So it seems the Tylenol allergy or triggering it. Maybe But you got 2 and two $2 pop out?

Here is what I got two transactions and got the $4 and $2. First transaction: 2 Tylenol Cold Multi-sympton 1 Tylenol Allergy Multi sympton Use the $1.50/1 easy saver coupon and a $1/1 manufactor coupon and out pop the $4 and $2 RR 2nd transaction 3 Tylenol Allergy multi symptom Use the $1.50/1 easy saver coupon and $1/1 manufactor coupon used up the last I had and out popped the $4 and $2 RR So it seems it is the Tylenol that is printing it out as the Benadryla is not and the Sudafed is not as I tried them too .Hope that helps.

I got 2 tylenol today that was suposse to get a reward but, manager says I can not get to catalinas in one order. I also got the cough medicine. Is this right?

Is the tylenol a monthly deal and a weekly deal? Wasn't the pop tarts the same way and out popped two catalinas that week? A friend just advised me tht this could be what is happening here? anyone know the dates for the tyenol RR? I bought the tylenol allergy x 3 in two different transactions and rec $4 and $2 rr. I am wondering what would happen if I added one more?

I bought two tylenol pm and NO RR, but I didn't know there was supposed to be one so I wasn't that disappointed to get 2 of them for .98 after the ez saver coupon and the MC from this weekend. I might have to search for some alergy q's and try again later today. Keep posting what you have done and found.

You could not buy 3 Robitussins and 3 Dimetapps and get 2 $10 rewards (both are the same offer). But there should be no problem buying 7 SCJohnson cleaning products, 3 Rob/Dime/Advil, 1 Crest mouthwash and getting $10 from SCJohnson, $10 from Wyeth (advil, etc), $4.50 from Crest (I have done this succesfully). If you want to be extra careful, you might avoid something like this: 7 SCJohnson cleaning products and the Scrubbing Bubbles Auto Shower Kit all on the same transaction, as both offer a $10 RR, but all are SCJohnson products. It is more likely that the variety of the product you purchased did not have one of the UPCs that were in the computer as a qualifying item. For instance, a bonus pack will have a different UPC and may not be recognized, or there could be an error on the part of the computer programming. I have not purchased any of the Tylenol products, but others on this board have reported wide varietys of Robitussin that generated RR. In my case, I bought Nightime Cough & Cold and did not get the RR. My store manager rerang using only the DM variety, out pops the RR! Another example, the Listerine - the add lists Natural Citrus and Tooth Defense. But when I purchased these the RR did not print. No problem getting the RRs with the Listerine Advanced variety. My manager handles by ringing a transaction with the Advanced variety to produce the RRs (still lets me keep the Citrus, etc). I really appreciate him. He's left with exchanges or voids or overrings to deal with in his efforts to honor all of the sales! Our running joke is that if it's not in the picture, it's a roll of the dice as to whether the computer will recognize it as a qualifying item or not. I don't know at what level RR eligible offers are controlled. I'm in the D/FW area of Texas and these are my experiences. HTH |

I have been rolling RR's back and forth with the Robitussin and then getting 3 tylenol and a crest, then using a $4 RR to get 3 more robitussin, then using that to get 3 more tylenol and a crest, on and on. That will stop though as I am almost out of my $5/3 tylenol coupons and I don't know if I have more of the $1 ones or I would just keep on truckin on.. ![]() I just went to do a deal and the cashier (one of my favs) says ok no more shopping. and then I gave her my stuff and was gettin gmy RR out of my box and she said to the lady in behind me gosh she is so organized, and the lady says yes she is, I try but by the time I look at them again they exp. I was like hmm well I use them almost every day, but yes I do have coupons expire on me as well. I just liked that the cashier was so nice about coupons!
