Yesterday. No warning or nothing. If I didn't go to CVS today, I wouldn't have known. So I went into the store and they were all out of ads. They had a few easy savers. I didn't buy anything, I was just browsing. Now I just need to read up on all the posts on "how to" do walgreens. I wonder when the grand opening will be.

No fair, you have CVS and Walgreens?

I know how you feel. No CVS in Oregon! The closest is in NV.

There's lots of good info in the Walgreens forum. There are LOTS of ways to save money at Walgreens in my opinion. Good luck and post if you need help!

Couple tips, find out when the trucks come, the Free After Rebate {FAR} items tend to sell out quickly.

Don't overwhelm yourself, even though you're a CVS pro, take it slow, there are always more deals to be had.

Checking out via the Cosmetic Counter seems like it's a universally good thing with Walgreens. Make eye contact and small talk with your cashiers, they're your wingmen in this.

Expect to make a few mistakes, don't dwell on them too much. So you forgot to use a $1 Q, well there's always next time.

Always check their endcaps for clearance items that you might want/need, especially if you also have Qs for them.

Anticipate that some deals you see on here are YMMV and you may or may not be able to use the tips.

Yay! Walgreens is fun, and in my opinion way less confusing than CVS. We are getting CVS here soon... since I moved away from one I have been missing it a lot! Have fun with Walgreens!

Trust me I know I will make mistakes, I forgot to use a q at Martins last week, and I bought TWO items because the q stated must buy two. If I wasn't going to use a q, then ONE would have been PLENTY. As far as the endcaps go, I do appreciate that pointer, I didn't know that. And I do know that a lot of things on here are YMMV, but it is defiantly worth checking.

Be watching for specials because when the two stores opened near me they gave away bottles of tylenol if you would go back and say hi to the pharmacist but best of all they had a coupon I believe it was for 2.00 that could be used for anything. It was on the first page of each ad and you could just go in the store and pick up a circular, then remove the q. Be patient because my store was open about a month before they had the grand open coupon so you need to be watching for it.

I'm not fortuntate enough to have a WAG in my town. BUT I work within minutes of 2 WAG! I get to shop at least 2 ro 3 times a week at WAG! I wouyld love to have a WAG close by! I am jealous too! Have fun!
