Well, from last weeks ad I was trying to complete the Kellogg deal of buying 5 for $10 and getting the $5 RR. I was trying to mix it up a bit to have a good variety and also use the Kelloggs qs that were in last Sunday's paper. Plus, I am working toward the $10 rebate from Kelloggs (this took a little brain work from me ) I was having a terrible time finding the Keebler cookies (went to 3 stores in my area!). I checked back in with a store on Saturday because their truck was coming in and my RR would be dead if I didn't finish it off with 2 more items. I called and they were still unloading the truck. The manager realized my dilemma and said they could ring up 5 items to get the RR printout plus I could get the raincheck. Well you can bet I beat feet up there. I couldn't believe it! I guess they are trusting that I'll go back to buy the other 2 items (I will because I need them for the Kelloggs mail-in rebate.) I just thought I'd share this nice experience. The manager and everyone in this store is very nice!

Just wondering how you are making this work.. considering ALL of the kelloggs items need to be on the same receipt for the MIR to work.

Yep, as the other posters mentioned, you had to have all 10 products on ONE receipt.

Same thing happened to me...I was told by cashier that the WG's deal wouldn't work if you bought more than $10 you still would only get 1-$5 RR so I did 2 deals-got home read the MIR and was mad...All 10 items have to be on 1 receipt...Now I working a deal at KM they have Kelloggs stuff on sale this week and I still have coupons..wondering if I could do the coupons from cereal insert and some of the Kelloggs flyers found in the grocery store for a combined deal..

this is a case of the store ringing up all the items- you paying for them and then coming back to pick up the items at a later date when the new delivery comes in

so for the kelloggs deal all purchases will be on the same recipt and the quantity needed for the RR will be purchased through the register but not removed from the store (they don't have it in stock)

they're not trusting you - you are trusting them that when you go back to pick up your items that they will give them to you without additional payment- lose your slip and you may be out of luck

many stores will do this you just need to ask (limited time rebate, coupon expiring, need to by a specific quantity to qualify for RR etc) just make sure somebidy signs off on it than can be held accountable

Sadly yes...I think the thread op might have been confused like me about the MIR needing to be on 1 receipt. They never said anything about paying and coming back later for their stuff-just about buying 5 items to get to get RR.

Thanks for all your responses. You have made me think and re-read the Kelloggs MIR . . . I don't see anywhere on this big 4"x8" form where it says that you must have one reciept . . . it only says the reciepts must be dated between 08/05/08 and 09/30/08. I am going to keep a copy of this form in case they tell me I won't be getting the $10.

Yes, the Walgreens $5 RR was done on Saturday. And I do plan to keep my reciept, coupon and raincheck in a safe place til they get the Keebler cookies in.

I guess this thread will have a follow up in 8 weeks time frame to let you all know how I make out with this Kelloggs deal

I believe there have been some people calling Corp. to double check and have been told it must be on one receipt.. it also says on the MIR "UPC Symbols along with original dated Cash Register Receipt" (not Receipts).

Just dont want you to miss out on the deal. Maybe since you already got the $5RR and they rang up half of your order.. when you go back to pick up the others, you could take in the original items and receipt and just have them rering it all up together?

If you have same form as all of us look it's written in "red" above the 1st line of info about mailing it in-and to the right of the form above the addy information that starts out -To receive a $10 rebate check....It has (All products must be purchased in a single transaction on one store receipt). And it also says no photo copies accepted.. I have tried to beat they system on MIR's and I always loose my stamp, my time and effort and off course my MIR$$-I will have to repurchase the items but I will have just one receipt like it states. OMG! I thought I was doing so good with planning out my Wags deal, Kelloggs MIR, plus a rebate for the Blueberry frosted mini wheats and I have been defeated. I kept reading and re-reading that darn MIR because I wondered how so many could be telling me the same thing. I see it now in red I was only looking at the black. I had already cut the UPS from the packages and everything!!!! Ugh, do you guys know how many boxes of Kelloggs stuff I have from the Giant Eagle deal and everything else?!

I'm sorry! I just didn't want you to miss out on the $10 MIR. You have to read MIR so carefully and follow the rules completely or you'll get dq. I have several times over the years and now I am so very careful-I even put a note in the envie telling them what I have sent them and what I am expecting back..I know a little paranoid but I want my $$ back when I mail in a MIR. Try the KM deal this week with insert coupons and the store Kellogg flyers-that's what I am going to do tomorrow.
