There is a $5.00 rebate on two tuff trash bags in the August rebate book. Many of us already got the bags when they were bogo last week. Still could be a decent deal if you need trashbags though! (Just make sure to get the kinds mentioned in the book for the rebate)

I found $5/1 tear pad coupons good on physician's formula at Walgreens awhile ago on a display. The one I have is good for the "Organic Wear" type though, which I dont think includes any of the mascara (which is also my fave mascara!) The items I saw on clearance were all face powders. The coupon database lists quite a few coupons that I haven't found. |

That is a great idea. I would never have thought to do that even though I see them all the time!

My sister got me started on making flower bouquets. You can use the red poinsettias fake/silk flowers and give them as an office Holiday gift to someone, that way they have a 'pot of seasonal flowers' I made a bunch of those one year and now use the left-overs and tie them into the ribbon on packages as an 'extra' to the recipient. Use flowers to match the wedding flowers or colors and make a bouquet of fancy flower pens for a wedding gift {one that the bride will know about in advance so you can be sure it works with the theme} and set it by the guest book or frame mat set out for people to sign. I had these at my own wedding instead of paying a ton for just one fancy pen we had a variety in different colored ink. I made them as spontaneous 'thank you' gifts for my ex's secretaries, my girls love to help make their own and have them on their desks AND they make a great thing to sell at a craft fair, etc. Pick up small terra cotta pots or stainless steel tubs, fill with dried beans {cheapest} or colored glass rocks, to keep the pens standing upright. Using this type of pen reduces 'pen theft' as it's a bit harder to accidentally shove a flower in your wallet. I replaced the 'spoon pens' my doctors office used with a set as a 'thank you' for their care. {Sorry, a bit more 'crafters unite' than Walgreens, but the thread topic led me to do it}

The "pen theft" issue is the reason the teachers love them at my kids school both teachers got them last year and I checked back last week and they still have them , one teacher even added some flowers of her own after her pens Died!

I am new at this, so not positive it will work but I am going to try it. I can't take credit for the idea, because I read it somewhere. I wish I could remember where! Basically, the idea is this: There are coupons and a $5.00 rebate in the 8/3 Smart Source for buying Pert Plus and school supplies. You have to buy $5.00 of each. I bought 2 bottles of Pert Plus for 3.79 each, using 2 coupons making them 1.79 each. Then got 10 packs of the Bic Pens, using the coupons to make the pens free. Then I should be able to submit for the $5.00 rebate. Does this sound right? Like I said, I am new at this and still trying to understand it, but having a blast getting good deals!
