Total after coupons from 8/3 was

I used 2 $5 RR from Diaper Deal, OOP I paid $10.71

But I only got 1 $5 RR back. The cashier didn't know why I only recieved one and said that her manager was at lunch, so I would need to call coroporate. Called Corp, and they faxed me a form to fill out to get my $5 RR. But I have to mail it in and allow 4 weeks for processing. sheesh, almost more trouble then it was worth!

The crazy thing is that I took my co-worker with me (showing her how to coupon) and she bought the same items and used the same coupons. Low and behold, she recieved 2 $5 RR. Doesn't make any sense, but oh well. When I send in my MIR I am coming out ahead.

I went to 3 different wags today, here is what i got!!

Hope I didn't make that too difficult explaining it. When I was using the q's with the kellogs RR the cashier did not think the RR would print, she said if the q's take a 4/$10 deal under the $10 (or whatever the scenario is 5/$10, 3/$10 etc) the rr would not print. I think since I bought the rice krispie treats and poptarts that is why I was ok and my rr printed just fine.

I think the FRUIT LOOPS are the culprit!

Went last night and got: 1 Fruit Loops, 1 Raisin Bran, 2 Frosted Flakes, 5 Rice Krispie Treats, 1 pack fudge stripe cookies....only 1 RR printed. Manager was called, said it would only print 1, I insisted this was wrong and said I'd done it at another store earlier this week (not true...but knew my buds here had) then he tried the "you used coupons" route...I said I ALWAYS use coupons & ALWAYS get my RRs, cashier agreed. So he tries reringing just the cereal to try & get another RR...no go.

He studies the ad, checks my box sizes & types (all included) and decided to try the 2 frosted flakes and & 2 raisin bran instead of the fruit loops since the FL was not pictured..just in the print. I thought he was full of it, but let him try. Lo & behold...the RR printed!

I noticed it looks like those who aren't getting both RRs have Fruit Loops in their order...I think that's the problem! It's in the ad, but I don't think it's in the system as part of the deal!!

Here's my full trip yesterday:

Trans 1:
1 fruit loops
1 raisin bran
2 frosted flakes
5 rice krispie treats

5 RR (used the cereal one just to see if you could roll...didn't mind losing it though!)

So, I paid out $22.xx, still have a 5 RR and will get back $10 from the MIR....that's a bottom line OOP of only $7 for all of that!

I had a day full yesterday of trips to WG, phone calls to corporate, talked with three store managers and being told yes I could use cpns to get RR then no I couldn't use cpns to get RR then Yes, then No. Sooooooooo frustrating! I just want them to know their own policies. So I get on the message boards and y'all have figured out it is the Fruit Loops that are the problem. (I had bought Fruit Loops and used cpns and no RR printed and was told it was because of my cpns)I went back last night and bought four cereals with coupons and lo and behold, I got the RR!!!! If people on here, who are NOT employed at WG can figure it out why can't they!!! It's their store!!! I plan on calling and writing again today. Managers seem to just make up things as they go along hoping no one will challenge them. One of them told me yesterday that I got RR with cpns last week because of a glitch in their system, that you are never suppose to get RR with cpns because you go below the amount needed. (I tried to explain that I was paying $8 of the $10 needed and a kind person from Kellogg's was helping me by giving me $2 of the $10 and they were so kind they were giving WG's 16 cents for their trouble - she didn't agree!) Another one told me that it's just this Kellogg's RR that won't let you use cpns that their own employees aren't getting their 15% discount with this promotion. I just want all the stores to be consistent so I don't have to put up with the hassle and made to feel like a thief when I use cpns honestly!

Wanna hear a good one? Went into Wags and bought 5 pop tarts and 4 cereals. Paid, got my 2 $5 RR and came home.

Got home and was filling out the rebate and realized that I olny bought 9 items. ARGH!

SO I am heading back there today to get them to redo my order.

I bought 2 corn pops and 2 special k and got the 5RR.

A good lesson for newbies, though....even profesional, TV star couponers make mistakes every now & then!

since you are new her I'll fill you in on why your RR did not print...it's a hidden secret that it did not work because you did it on Tuesday...vets here know that that's the day to skip HTH

I'm trying to figure out if you're being serious or not. I consider myself a "vet" by now and never once have I heard of this.

Everyone that knows me considers me a "vet" even though I've only been on this site a short while, I've been shopping at WG for several years and using cpns with sales for over 30 years, so I too am assuming you're teasing. WG is not my preferred drugstore...CVS is!!! But I'll shop where ever I can find a good deal.
