| Question???
Hi, I'm fairly new to walgreens but I was wondering if this deal would work. Would I be able to do this? 2 Palmolive @ $.94 1 Starbuck Refresher $1.49 2 WAG Napkins 2 @ $4 3 Maruchan noodles 3/$1 1 U Kotex $3.99 Banana 4@$1 Total=13.36 + tax Use $1 U Kotex MFQ plus $3RR from Pepsi 5-$1RR from Goody Total= $9 $13.36-$9= $4.36 + tax Am I overusing the $1RR? Thanks! |

It looks like you have too many fillers, if I'm reading this correctly. You can use one MQ (RR or coupon) per item. I'm reading your post as 4 bananas at $1 each, is that correct? If so, you will only need 2 to use the number of RRs and coupons you have listed. Also this will bring your total oop down by $2. (IF I'm reading it correctly). If that's the case, I would definitely use a cheaper filler than $1 for one banana. HTH. |

Unless you need the napkins leave them out and you should be walking away paying 36cents + tax. 1 item is needed per MQ's, or RR's. IVC's don't count they don't need an item to attach to during checkout. I see 13 items but only 7 MQ's/RR's are being used. Try handing Q's in this order, it seems to work well for us. IVC, MQ, RR last We hand the cashiers the Q's in order don't give them the whole stack to randomly scan themselves. Anyone know anything different please post. Thanks

I always give the Qs in this order: RR, MQ, then IVC. RRs are usually the largest amount off, and I don't want them to be adjusted. I give IVC last because they will automatically adjust if needed, so no beeps.

I will need to adjust the order of things then. Thanks!

I tried this scenario, the cashier scanned all the $1 RRs but couldn't get the $3RR to scan. It did not beep but would not scan either; she told me she could not scan it. I was confused because I did have a LOT of items, so I said I will just use a different RR but she said I couldn't use any more RRs and refused to take anymore. So, I ended up paying $7 something. The cashier didn't seem to know what she was doing. It was a horrible experience! Should I go back and refund everything and redo it somewhere else?! Many cashiers are just not friendly or helpful!!!! |

now, to clarify, you have 10 items in all, right? you're trying to use (1) $3 RR, (5) $1 RRs, and (1) UKotex MQ, for total of 7 coupons? If both of these are correct, I don't see why the register will reject your $3 RR no matter if you gave it first or last. The total amt of your coupons does not exceed the total amount of items you're buying. They should've gone through. Did you check your receipt after the trxn to make sure everything rang up correctly? At this point since it is after the fact, you can't do much about it and just charge it to experience. But next time it happens, make sure you make your own computations before you go to the register. When your totals come up way higher than your expectation, try to go over trxn line by line with cashier and if they can't help you, ask for a MOD. ETA: if you have the RX savings card, make sure to swipe it prior to final payment so you'll get 10% instant credit for the WAG napkins.

I would check to see how much the coupons took off, sometimes the free ones take off more than the sale price and can really throw things off. And if it didnt scan its probably because they wave the scanner thingy like a mad man and it doesnt get a chance to scan. Now there is a difference between it won't scan and it won't accept it bc of the value. If it doesn't scan they should manually enter it in.
