| Help! Breeze meter ordering disaster!
So last week I went to the Walgreen's in Arlington VA and talked to a manager about ordering the Breeze meters for the upcoming sale. I told him I wanted 50 of EITHER the Breeze2 OR the Contour. Yesterday I got a call saying that my 50 Breeze meters had arrived and the 50 Contour meters were coming in today. So while I only wanted to order 50 (because that's how many coupons I have), the store ordered 100! Does anyone have any advice on how to handle this? Should I just try desperately to find another 50 coupons and buy all 100 meters? (Even if I did, I don't know how I will ever use $500 RR's in two weeks). Should I call the store and tell them that I only wanted 50? (I really don't want to create a bad relationship with them though since this is the main Walgreen's I go to). Are there any AFCer's in the NoVA/Washington DC area that are looking to buy several of these meters and would like to purchase some of the ones I ordered? I'd be happy to meet up with you at the store and let the manager know what's going on. Update in Post #37 Last edited by theresahaas; 11-09-2009 at 12:25 PM. Reason: Update |

I would call them and speak to the manager you ordered form if he/she is there. Otherwise talk to the store manager. Tell them you specified EITHER OR not BOTH and that you only have 50 coupons. They can either have enough time to cancel the order, or they can tell the other stores in the area that they have extra and see if they want to do an instore transfer to make sure each store has enough. Also, if you did find 50 more coupons.. I'm sure people on here would be willing to trade RR's for other things that you may need.

WOW! congrats to you. I'm sure a lot of couponers in your area would be happy to share the deal with you so it'll be win-win. did you make arrangements for 50 single transactions to get 50 x $5 RRs? if you got GO signal from your SM, your other option if no one will buy them all is buy the meter coupons for as low as .30 to .50 each from sellers and you'll still make some profit. but like you, I'd be worried about spending $500 worth of RRs in 2 weeks unless I give them as early Christmas RAOK ![]() Keep us posted.

Eh, this is far from a disaster...I would say on the other end of things would be a disaster(if none came in). Go in on Sunday and just take 25 of each yourself, and leave the store 25 of each for other customers for the sale. Then spread the word on sites a certain store has a stockpile...I am sure they will sell like hotcakes. Heck, they'd still probably sell like hotcakes even without spreading the word. Seems like most stores only stock 2 or 3 of each one so that store should be the hot store in town once everyone else sells out first day. You can check in with your store mid-week to see how they are doing as well. |

I'd order the extra Qs and get them all. For the cost of the Qs and your time (and tax if applicable), you could buy several things at Wags with those $500 RRs-- a couple digital cameras radios storage cards small appliances for holiday gifts order special larger photos you've always wanted to order but didn't have the extra $50 to get them perfume clocks glossy magazines cards batteries makeup small toys They'll be higher than in the big box stores, but you can't beat the price if the RRs are "free". |

Thanks so much to everyone for the advice. I did the tell the manager in advance that I wanted to do 50 separate transactions and she said that would be fine. I think I will call the store and explain to the manager that I had specified EITHER OR, not BOTH, and that I will come to buy 25 of each on Sunday and they can put the rest of the stock out for other customers. I"ll check with them mid week to see how many they have left and try to buy more if I can find more coupons. Thanks again for the help! |

To get the 5RR for the meters you have to break up the transactions right? So if I have no other RR's, how do I build up the RR's from the meter deal? It seems like I would have to spend the meters RR's for other stuff that generates RR's but I wanted to get some other things that dont generate RR's. I'm confused, can someone let me know? TIA

With the $5 RRs you get from each one, that is what you use to purchase other items you like. HTH.

You can do the transactions without needing other RRs because t he meters will be free. All you'll need is the coupon and tax and you'll get $5 rr back. You can use the RRs to roll on other items that give RRs or you can hold onto them and let them accumulate. After they accumulate, you can use them to get the things that don't generate more RRs. |

Wow - you must really have a good relationship w/ your store. I wanted to order 5 and they wouldn't do it. I think they think I am trying to do the coupon, rebate, and rr's all together. I told them it would be ridiculous to think you can do a rebate when you didn't pay for them in the first place.

Lol! Thanks for all the positive comments! I know this is actually a great fluke; I was mostly just nervous about what to do with $500 RR and where to put 100 meters before I can drop them off as a donation. But I really appreciate everyone's advice!

I have 30 cpns and was wondering how many my store will have in stock. So the managers won't care if I do 30 transactions? I was thinking I could go to the 6 stores in my area and get them 5 at a time too.

Oh! I got another idea where to spend your RRs, buy Magic Jack @ 39.99 and send them to all your family and friends with internet connection. then you can talk till you drop for free ![]() that'll be at least 10 MJs and spend the rest on perfume and smell good!

Wow. What are you going to do with the meters? If you donate them, where to? Also do the meters come with strips or do you have to buy them separately. TIA. I'd love to do this but I'd feel guilty if I don't have a place to donate them to.

Wow, that is so not a disaster! You did all the other couponers in your area a favor! I have around 30 Qs and I'm worried about how many different Wags I'm going to have to drive to to find them. Seriously, I've got a list of 24 hour ones to start at Sunday morning at around 5:30am. I am sooo jealous!
