Can someone tell me why my Almays rang up this way?

Transaction #1
2 Almay 1 coat mascara at $7.99
Even though the tag says b1g1 half price, they are ringing up get one free.
BUT the $4 wag q only rings up once, so it is half price.

Transaction #2
2 Almay 1 coat mascara at $7.99
1 Glade sense & spray at $4.99
1 Revlon nail clipper on clearance at $1.59
I had $1 q for clippers & $4 q for glade, when I gave her the $4 wags q for the mascaras, IT DOUBLED and I got $8 off so they were free!!!!!

Transaction #3 (because I thought it would double again)
2 Almay 1 coat mascaras at $7.99
It rang up the exact same way that transaction 1 did.

Can someone tell me why, because the cashier that rang me up could not.

are you buying the mascara that has a free item in it like an eyeliner or make-up remover? those are the ones in my store that wont ring up with the $4 off.

U need to have one filler which eat 0.01 cent overage.

It could be it won't take off $8 when your subtotal is only 7.99. You would need at least .01 filler.

Where is everyone getting the $4 Wags q?

The $4 wags Q is in the "Big Savings" booklet, typically found at the front of the store with the weekly ad.

Just an FYI, I got two with the bonus eyeliners in them....and although it rang up BOGO50% they did take the $8 for the Q off!

there are reports that some store registers have been programmed NOT to take off discount on a FREE. that may be the reason if all the above reasons don't apply.

I suggest you try adding the .05 halloween pencil filler and see if it works. make sure you get "like" items so that if $4 is taken off one, it should be taken off both. if it still don't work, then the register has been programmed not to give discount on items already FREE.

Thanks, I think it was because I only had 2 items. I am going to take them back and purchase again with a filler and see if it works. I will let everyone know how it goes.

You didn't have $8 in purchases for the Q to deduct from.
