Christmas ideas from Walgreens 2009

I would love to hear what others are getting from Wags for gifts and stocking stuffers...and... is anyone making gift baskets from our abundance of "frees"?

Yes, I am planning on gift baskets made from "frees" or "almost frees"....but I've lost track of whether they came from Wags or some other store! I did find several clearance items I have put back for stocking stuffers at Wags too!

The make-up deals have been great! The Rimmell B1G1 Q I've used to get eye shadow, lip gloss, and nail polish for cheap stocking stuffers. Of course, they're all getting Trident gum and Chapstick in their stockings, too.

the wonderful part of the frees at WAGS/CVS is getting to give gifts to people I wouldn't normally be able to...like my neighbors and some friends etc...

I made my mom a gift basket with tons of nail polishes and things she likes and I got some stocking stuffers for my boys...the Axe sprays and of course lots of gum
I am giving my neighbors a gift basket of things I know they could use. The guy does seasonal work (pools) and he is already laid off for the winter and have already said how hard its going to be on them. She works at WM.

I used some extra RR to get one of my boys a digital camcorder...it was $79...then marked to $59...then marked to $24! woohoo

I am loving WAGS this year!

But mainly typical stockpile stuff, tag and axe for all the boys. DOVE for my mom of course.

I found it right by the photo lab...they had some clearanced cameras too. Mine are all gone (the cameras too) so hope you find one! They had a couple of them when I got mine. It doesn't take pics tho...just movies...2 hours without a camera card. I am not buying the additional card because my son is just 10 so he will have a bll with it making movies good luck!!

Nail polish, vaseline, glade/febreeze stuff, heck, I'm not above including shavers, gel and deo - if I know it's something I would want, I figure someone else would want it too.

Chapstick, shampoo/cond, Dove sprays, body soap.

Our family draws names for Christmas every year, with a limit of $25. It will be WONDERFUL to be able to give a basket worth $75 or more. I'm going to love giving gifts this Christmas.

Yes, lots of great baskets with frees. Also, when people get sick I will be making them Theraflu care packages with Chapstick and Halls. LOL. What will all of you do with the meds? Sell at garage sales? I will probably still have enough to do that too.

This last week I had some overage so I got 3 of these awesome long and wide silk/pashmina scarves at Wags! Do any of your stores have them? They will be presents for my coworkers. They were only 2/$10 but they were gorgeous.

My 7 yo dd just made a gift basket for her teacher's birthday today. It was Vaseline lotion, Halloween pencils, and Glade candle tins Nice to have that stuff on hand!

I found a clearanced reading light for my ds. I will also be using the fingernail polish for my dd and nieces. I'm hoping to use my rr's for more gifts.

My kids are gum, character toothbrush, character bandaids and soap aholics. I've got plenty of those to put in their stockings. LOL The cooler it looks the more they like it!

For my family and my husbands family, I just load up a big box full of stuff I've collected from all the stores I do deals at and let them have at it in the middle of the floor on Xmas. They get all excited swiping up those pricey razors, cool makeup and medicines.

I did cash in some of my RR last week. The K'nex and some other toys have stickers on them for mix n match 3 for $13.98. I got 3 toys. Oh and most of the Wags around here have all sorts of coloring books and kids workbooks 75% off. I may go snag some of those.

Thanks for all the ideas everyone!

I've been saving up all year for things so I'll have to look in my "gift bin" and see who gets what. I also used to work in a salon so when they discontinued items we would get them free so I saved some of the expensive shampoo and conditioner for the baskets. I will also be using my RR's to get more items for the baskets and stockings.

About a month ago I found Rubbermaid Take-Alongs on clearance at WalMart and I had a q so I got 'em really cheap. I think they were from the 4th of July/ Memorial Day stuff. They are about the size of a kid's lunch box.

So I am going to use those as the basket part of the gift basket. They aren't very big but big enough for smaller gifts- teachers, extended family.

You have probably been able to get a lot of hannah montana stuff. I have seen a lot of camp rock as well. I think that is precious.

So I am going to use those as the basket part of the gift basket. They aren't very big but big enough for smaller gifts- teachers, extended family.
Genius! I like to package things in reuseable containers and this is a good one. I will also be giving some people the Pyrex pans with some goodies wrapped in that. Will you just give them the containers or will you wrap them?

Yes I've gotten a lot of the Hannah montana stuff on clearance for him. He's so sweet and easy to buy for. Everything is a HUGE deal to him, even if its a camp rock pencil. Christmas morning is still magical to him and I love that about him.

Gift Baskets

I love to give gift baskets and usually can give a nice gift without spending much money. My only problem is I usually end up spending way to much for the basket or container that I put it in. I try to pick up like new baskets at rummage sales but does anyone have any ideas on where to find containers to make gift baskets out of?
