It has been previously reported that the new registers do not accept manuf coupons on their expiration date. Has this problem been resolved or is it still an ongoing problem?

I ask because I plan to use the $4 Schick silk coupons when they are BOGO on 6/24. The expiration date is also 6/24.

What's been your experience? TIA

I tried to use the BOGO Suave lotion coupons that expire today and the message came up @ the register that coupon was expired; it was good the cashier knew and understand that it expires AFTER the date so it was still good.

Had it been someone that didn't know how to handle such issue, I would have just cancelled transaction and found another cashier.

Happened to me today too. Cashier called the mgr and just pushed it through. No big deal.

This happens at my store too. I work at wags and my manager said it has to do with the leap year lot being accounted for or something so it will beep if it's on the date of expiration. Don't know if it's hog wash or true! Haha but we just manually enter in the q if it does it.. make sure the cashier looks at the q's date if they give u trouble!

Walgreen's.Com shows the Hydro Silk Razors to be $12.99. With the BOGO sale and (2) $4 coupons, it would make them $4.99/2 or $2.49 each.

$12.99 X 2=$25.98
- 12.99 BOGO=$12.99
-(2) $4 coupons=$4.99/2 razors or $2.49 each

Target has them as part of $5 gift card deal right now. Buy 2 razors at $9.49, use (2) $4 Hydro Silk Razor Coupons, and (1) $2 Target Printable Coupons. After the $5 GC it makes them $1.99 cents each.

With 1 Target Coupon (per the rules of the coupon)
$9.49x2=$18.98
-(2) $4 Coupons=$10.98
-(1) $2 Target Coupon=$8.98
-(1) $5 Gift Card from a Previous transaction=$3.98/2 or $1.99 each
Get $5 Gift Card

They are also on sale this week at CVS:
Buy 1 Schick Hydro Silk $8.99 (limit 1)
Use (1) $4/1 Hdyro Silk coupon

It seems cheaper to get them at CVS or Target....but maybe you have a reason to wait for the 6/24 sale at Walgreen's... hmmmmmmm

They didn't know how to do this at my wags. I was like really, I just voided it! I really wanted the lotion. I think the asst. manager is a boob not knowing what to do. Ugh! Any advice for future coupons like this? Tia

On the register they can "key" it in. After they hit the 'payment' button there will be options to choose on how the customer pays. There is also a 'manufacture coupon' button under the payment options. U must make sure u are done adding items b/c once it is pushed u can't go back. Once The manufacture button is pushed it allows the cashier to enter the amount of the coupon. so say for example the bogo q for the suave lotion-$3 thy will type in 3. Or $1 RR if it wont scan...Whenever I work a lot of the times the RR's won't scan, so I just enter them in at the end before the customer pays.. Hope this helps!! That manager should know this stuff geeze! The new registers are tricky so be careful, hopefully next time you'll have a knowledgable cashier. :-)
