I want to use the BOGO Skinny Cow insert Qs to buy some Skiiny Cow candy as fillers (I want to use 6 RR, so I need six fillers). If I use a BOGO will it attach to both items or will the register count it as one coupon, but two items? If it is going to attach to both items, I would still have to find 6 fillers to use 6 RR. Does it matter in what order I give the Qs (can I give the RR first and then the BOGO and it will take all 6 BOGO at the end of the transaction?) TIA.

That specific coupon attaches to both items, so it might work to give RRs first.

Ditto...bogo q's attach to both items. Definitely give RR's first.

I'm not sure/worried about how this might work if your stores have the new registers... so if you have the new registers in your area definitely let us know! It might not like having the RR's first and then the bogo's trying to attach to two items. I haven't tried it yet to see if it would work or not!

i have the new registers and it attached to both, and the b2g1 attached to all 3, i only know because i had the b2g1 and a $1/2 tearpad q, so i actually had to buy 2 fillers just to get the skinny cow!

Okay, I was reluctant to use the BOGO Skinny Cow Qs because I didn't want any drama, but I still got it. Now I need to figure out what happened.

Here's what I bought:

6 Laffy Taffy Candies
1 Gillette Fusion Power Razor
1 Gillette Fusion Power Cartridge
1 Olay Body Wash
1 Gillette Venus Cartridge
1 Cover Girl Sponge Puffs

I used the following MQ:

Buy one Gillette Fusion Cartridge, Get the Gillette Fusion Razor free
Buy one Venus Refill, Get the Body Wash Free
$2 off Venus Razor or Refill
$1 off one Cover Girl Product
$10 RR
$10 RR
$2 RR

That's all the RR the register would allow me to use. The MQs came off with no problem...in fact, the amounts were automatically taken off (they were the new registers) and the amounts taken attached to different products than were written on the MQ (in my favor). For example, the BOGO MQ for Gillete was buy the cartridge, get the razor free...but the register took off $17.99 which was the price of the Gillette Fusion cartridges...so I bought the razor at $9.99 and got the cartridges at $17.99 free.

My question is, why wouldn't the register allow me to use 2 more $2 RR? My subtotal was $4.41 (before the $2.95 in tax). Even if the BOGO MQs attached to both products, by my calculations, I should have still had 2 products without Qs attached (1 BOGO attached to both the razor and cartridge, 1 BOGO attached to both the venus cartridge and the BW, 1 to the CG sponge and 1 to the Venus razor, then the $10 RR is another, then the next $10 is another and the $2 RR is another for a total of 9 products attached to coupons, but I bought 11 products with the 6 Laffy Taffy...so I am not sure why I couldn't use 2 more RR)

I don't think the issue is using a $2 MQ on the Venus razor when I was using the BOGO Venus razor and BW MQ because the register automatically scanned both MQs correctly and never beeped and took the amount right off.

Any ideas?

Weird.

Well, good news that the BOGO's were scanning favorably without cashier intervention. This could potentially settle a lot of issues at the register!

I agree that the item per Q ratio should have allowed for 2 more RR even with the BOGO's attaching to two items, but I'm still unclear on how the new registers are attaching Q's to items, and the receipts aren't always helpful.

What happened when you tried to use those last two RR?

What happened when you tried to use those last two RR?

It gave the cashier an error message something like, no matching item can be found. she said she would void the transaction and try running the RR first, but since the register was so good to me taking off the $17.99 instead of the $9.99, I didn't want to take a chance of those not scanning like they did in this transaction, so just paid the $7.xx OOP. I also recieved a $10 RR for the $10 off a $30 P&G purchase, a $4 RR for the purchase of the Gillette razor and a $5 RR for the purchase of one CG, one Gillette and one Venus razor in one trasaction. So I paid with two $10 RR and one $2 RR, $7.36 OOP and got back $19 in RR.
