I am not new to couponing, just to Walgreens ![]() Quick question on their register rewards. Say I have identical items for $2 each, and Walgreens gives you a $2 RR when you purchase. Can I split my two items up into seperate transactions, and use the first RR on the second item? Also, will I get the RR on the second? Thanks in advance! |

Yes, you can use the RR for the second item, but it will cancel out the RR for that second item. When you use your RR from a manufacture on their products they tend to cancel out the next RR you should receive. Look at your RR as a guide for that, it will have the manufacture's name printed on it (ex: Kimberly-Clark)

Thanks. So the best way to use RR is to stock them up from item #1 and use them to pay for item #2, and take item #2s RR and pay for item#1 to keep getting the RR? Sorry if I am confusing, just trying to figure it out.

as long as you don't use the RR you earned from buying item A to buy another item A (not necessarily next trxn, even if on a different day), you'll likely receive a new RR. you can use coupons for that item also as long as you buy a filler since you now have 2 items using RR and coupon. as long as total of those 2 coupons don't go over the amount of the item, you'll be fine. If total amount of your coupons exceed value of item, you need to buy extra fillers. Sample: item A is 3.99, you have $3 RR from item B plus $1/1 MQ. since total of your Qs = $4 and you have 2 items, you need to buy a filler like candy for .10 to use both Qs. subtotal will be .09 plus tax, if any and you'll receive a new RR for item A. HTH.
