I'm so excited!!! I just signed up for the UPromise, and was reading up on it, and am so happy to find out that you can actually put your balance toward an existing Sallie Mae student loan, which my husband has. We could technically get it paid off just by buying our everyday stuff! Woo hoo! I have one question, though: When it lists a cooperating store, like Walgreens, does it mean that it has to be online or can it be in-store? And you only get the points if you use the credit card/debit card that you have linked to your Upromise account, right? Can't send in receipts and pay for cash or anything like that, right? Thanks in advance for anyone willing to answer!

Actually you can just request a plain old check!! No college involved! This must be a new change, bc I know years ago when they started this program, I thought that it was ONLY for college. Yippee!

I'm sooo glad you joined, it's pretty good getting "free money"

UPromise works in different ways.
1. Using registered credit card
2. Using registered grocery or drugstore card
3. Shopping online starting with the UPromise website (upromise.com/shop online/old navy - just as an example)

a. You can shop at Walgreens and pay with a credit card you have registered with UPromise because they do not have a "rewards" card.
b. You can shop at CVS and use your registered "rewards" card and pay cash.
c. You can go out to eat & use a credit card & get a %.
d. There are also ECoupons that you click on to "cut" (put into your cart) and when you buy what the coupon says, you'll get the $$ (example I purchased Bounty pt from Shaw's using my rewards card & I'll get the .03 cents for buying it & an extra .50 cents because I "clipped" an ecoupon)

There's allot to it but it is pretty easy once you figure most of it out.

success! First Wags I went to still had them marked at 19.99 but I had them pricecheck and they came up 7.19. Second Wags I went to had them at 7.19 and had a ton of them. I bought 8 packages total. woohoo!

I have had upromise since 2001. We only get what is mostly available thru groceries and stuff. Sadly its been 8 years, included buying a computer thru this and such and we have a whopping 179.00. Better than nothing yes, but not as much as I would have hoped for.

It adds up very slowly, I would not count on paying of student loans with this unless you really focus on it and buy alot of stuff!!

I've had them for 2 yrs and have a little over $ 180. ($ 90. a year) but I do not have a credit card attached to them, only my CVS, grocery card & do some shopping online.
You right it's pennies, but FREE pennies..

I just found 4 boxes (all my store had). I am thinking these would be really cute Christmas gifts. Put the kiddos faces on the stamps and give them to the grandparents. I know DH's parents would love this! What do you think??? I'm gonna see if I can score some more on my way to school tonight!

You could use it for yourself or a god child, even. I never knew before this post that you could withdraw the funds and use them for whatever - so that's nice to know, too. You could use it as a special vacation fund!

Oh, and we have earned $780 since 2001. Well I guess the 1st year of books are covered! LOL

Ok, probably a silly question, but I'm going to ask....do you need to have signed up for U Promise before, after or it doesn't matter after you purchase the Photo Stamps from WAGS? I'm not a member of U Promise yet, but I was able to find 4 boxes, so will I still get the $8 put into my U Promise account if I create one before I go online to make the stamps?

Buy photstamp box from Wags
Sign up for UPromise, going through Upromise "shop now" or is it "shop online"
search for photostamps.com
Click "shop now" under Photostamps.com logo
Sign up to "Create Stamps".
Make your stamps and within 10-45 days you should see the $$ in the UPromise acct.
You will receive your stamps within 5-10 days
It seems like allot but it's pretty easy.

Before you shop online, check to see if the company works with them and go through the link like with the stamps.
Also these stamps are going to be awesome..
I bought 15 boxes.... 15 x $ 8. = $ 120. into the account + I'll get free stamps.
I'm hoping the stamps are not too cute, I would never end using them.

I just thought of this.. H&R Block - if you have your taxes done by them, they give $ 15.00 into the UPromise acct.

Thanks OP. I have gotten many of these. I am using a lot of them for Christmas gifts. Upromise is great. My DD is 5 and we have saved $491 for college through Upromise. It is free money we get on things we would have gotten anyway. Also, if you do surveys through e-rewards, Upromise can be one of the rewards. If you accumulate 100 in e-rewards points, you get $50 deposited in your e-rewards account!

Not sure - I do know that Target is an online partner with UPromise so if you purchase something from target.com through UP, you will get something like 2% on total purchase.
The credit card may be only for stores they have a partnership with like, Bed Bath & Beyond. CVS and other stores you can register your ECB. reward card & get the $$. Oh the credit card will work if you go out to eat at resturants that are partners with UP and they do list them.



BTW - I got an email my stamps were shipped out yesterday.. can't wait to see wait to see them. That was fast too.!!
