| Walgreens rewards card- rewards points
Has anyone redeemed points off their rewards card yet? I just received an email stating I was eligable for a $5RR now if I redeemed my points, or I could continue collecting. I have 3180 points. It had been frustrating- I did a few deals I thought were for RR catalinas, but were switched to just point areas in the test regions. I'm trying to decide if I want to redeem it now, or continue to hold onto it. I may hold, esp if the exp is just one week. I have $20 RR to burn next week from the neutrogena deal. |

that is very interesting and thanks for sharing. so now, you need points to get RRs? if that is true, then they made it harder to earn these RRs. I had the impression based on my conversation with SMs that corp wanted to make it easier for their customers so they'll do away with paper RRs and give instant credits on a card much like the RX savings card. They realize customers having problems using RRs that were .01 over the amount of something they want to buy and register wouldn't take them. I hope they do not continue with this system of converting points into RRs that have short expiration dates

Is there a place online that you can sign up for the card, or do you need to do it in the store?

if you're not in a test area, you can't sign up right now. as to the RX savings plan card, you can apply for it online/in-store at the pharmacy where you can find details. this RX savings card requires a membership fee annually.

Right now for us in the test areas, we get less rr deals and get points instead.I don't like it at all! I'd rather have the rr deals. It takes FOREVER to get $5. The only reason why I'm close to getting a $5 giftcard now is because they give you 500 points when you first join. It is easier for the cashiers because they don't have to key in all those weekly walgreen's coupons. They automatically come off and that might make it harder to use manufacturer's that we used to hand over first. |

can customers request for the card to be swiped last after all MQs have been scanned? that way, it will not affect possible overage. I was thinking that if items ring up at sale prices after swiping the card and the MQs happen to be over their sale price, will registers still accept the MQ?
