| Topsy Turvy on sale anytime soon?
I can't remember if Wags had these on sale last year. I bought two from somewhere else last year and I love them. One ripped when my son took it down in the fall so I am buying at least one more. I am building up RR's now for some Topsy Turvy's and some potting soil. I sure hope some good deals come along in the next few weeks or I'll pay full price with RR's if I can't roll all of them. So does anyone know if they ever offer these on sale during planting season?

I am seeing these and the one for strawberries at Deals stores for $5 (the somewhat higher priced store owned by Dollar Tree). Good deal, but even better with RR. I'm interested in trying the one for strawberries. To answer the original question, not sure if I ever saw them on sale.

| They do! I loved my planters. However a friend and my parents both had horrible luck with theirs. Our friends got too much shade and I'm not sure why my Dad's floppped. Maybe too much wind or under watering. I did best with cherry tomatoes, I couldn't keep up with them. If you try them don't plant large tomatoes like beefsteak. They're too heavy and you won't get a lot of fruit.

They had them on sale a couple of weeks ago at CVS and I believe it was Wags. I wish I had gotten them then. I think the regular price at CVS is like $12.99. Wags had them at $9.99. I wish I had gotten one. I've never tried them, but I want to try the Cherry tomatoes. I live in an upstairs apartment. I have a small area by the stairs where I can hang it. I'm excited to try them. I will buy one at full price also. |

| Absolutely Love Them!
Mine were great last year and I'm buying more this year. The key is to place them in good sun - tomatoes need a lot of sun. They also need to be watered frequently - you can't overwater them. Your success depends on how well you do all of these things - Oh, and Mother Nature too! I hung mine on my kids old swingset. I had a hanging garden! |

I've been looking at these too! We just moved and I am container gardening this year. The kids are excited, but the only gardening I've ever done is the traditional kind. The tomato hangers look interesting, but I'm curious do you have to water these every day? It seems like they would dry out quicker than in a pot. Also, how are they with other vegetables such as squash, eggplant or peppers?

Try CVS, they seem to have the better deals on the As Seen on TV Items.

I bought one of these last year but have never used it. This is going to sound really stupid, but I couldn't figure out how or where to hang it. Can I asked what you how/where you hung yours? I wanted to do cherry tomatoes in it.

It seems that they are all priced $9.99 around here. So I went to Bed Bath and Beyond and used a 20% off coupon.

My family gets aggrevated with me when we get low on something that we use a lot and I tell them they have to wait until I find a deal because I don't want to just go out and buy it or even get it with a coupon if it isn't on sale!

I tried hanging mine from a Shepherds hook, but it got too heavy and fell over. What I ended up doing was hanging it from the side of my deck. THEN I had to put a little chicken wire fence around it because it attracted deer to it. Good luck! |

I just planted my first one last week. It is hanging from a tall shephard's hook, but the weight is causing it to bow so I am gonna pick up another hook and use both to hold up the one Topsy. My tomato plant has already doubled in size and is starting to bud. Funny though, the birds promply made a nest in the top of mine and have laid eggs!! So now I think I'll have to put a small slit near the top so I can water it, ! Gotta love nature. Oh, and our Ace hardware has them for $7.99.

They are very heavy. I have mine hanging from a hook in the garage frame part of the house. So far it's growing well but it's too early to tell how it's going to go. I remember CVS had them on clearance really cheap at the end of the summer last year. I don't know if walgreens will though.
