Do you receive register rewards for a product that you pay for with register rewards?

yes...as long as your not buying the same item...for example this week is the Vitamin Schtick lip care...pay $1.99 get a $2 RR (they always round them up)
you can use your $2 RR to get another item that gives an RR just do NOT use it to get another Vitamin Schitck or your RR won't print...use it on Joint Juice or Zicam or the Scalpicin
