I'm well aware that you CANNOT use RR's to buy giftcards. This is not a question about that.

My question is this: Can you use overage from coupons / BOGO (theres so many this week!) to buy gift cards. I am just interested to see if this would be allowed. I do not want to do this if it is illegal / not good coupon practice.

I would love to know how you are getting enough overage for GC?

If you could figure in how much you have over, and add a gift card to the purchase for that amount, it should work. As long as you are not using any rr's in transaction they can't say you are paying with rr's. It would proably be better to figure a hair extra on the gift card, so you are paying something.

No...coupons say on them about having no real monetary value..(redeemable for cash or something i think it says) so this would be a no-go

Ok actually this is not against the rules. Let me pose this scenario to you....

Ok say your store is ringing up BOGO on the almay.

20 Almay one coat mascara's $6.99 ea
$10 GC
1 pack of halloween stickers .12

Total= $150.02

Minus
BOGO (register will take off at the end) -$69.90
$4 Almay q from Nov coupon book (-$80)

Total Oop= .02

The same way you are using that $4 almay q to pay for the cost of the pure blends you are instead using it to get a GC. This is not against the rules. Manu q's do not give overage at walgreens so you would not be able to use these to get a GC anyway.

My stores have atleast 20 but I won't buy them until saturday (give others a chance before I shelf clean) and I will use my overage towards the almay RR's.

But there has been plenty of times where I got GC's with my overage!
