| returns when you used RRs to pay part of the item?
I am wondering how a return works if you use an RR to pay for part, but not all? Do you just lose your RR?

I had an issue a few months ago when I wanted to return an item that was $19.99 and I used mostly RR's and only paid like $1.67 OOP. The first manager was about to refund me on a gift card but had to double check with another manager who said since I used MFG coupons, she could only refund me the $1.67. I argued with her that they get reimbursed for my RR's so they should refund me that amount and she said no, they are in store coupons and they don't get reimbursed..apparently, she had no idea what she was talking about..I just took the item and left...I'm sure its YMMV but I try not to return items purchased with RRs just to avoid the headache...Its easier to return items at CVS that are purchased with ECB's vs Walgreens and RR's in my opinion. HTH =)

It definitely should not be YMMV as the PP said. Sounds like PP just had a misinformed manager. They are not store coupons, they are manufacturers coupons which is exactly why we all go through the pain of getting filler items when doing our deals. The ones in the ad? Store coupons. The ones that print out of the catalina machine (unless they say store coupon like a $3 off $15) are manufacturers coupons. We get reimbursed, and so should you.

Company policy is they place the amount above your oop on a gift card. I've done this more then a couple times and usually just have to toss that out as an option since they definitely don't want to give me cash. Seems I have better luck when I make it their idea. |

I look at it that they cannot give you back your coupons that they are getting reimbursed for so you should get back all your money. This happened to me at RA a few weeks ago and I won that arguement.

based on other people's experiences, it is YMMV. I've read some people say they got the shock of their lives when the MOD just gave them the store credit for the total showing on the receipt, regardless of the full sale price item rang up and all mfr, including RRs used. Some MOD argue that RRs ring up as MFR coupon so they do not have a way to find out which coupon was used for the item so they cannot/will not refund the full amount, just what amount is paid for shown in receipt. This is frustrating especially if the MOD has already ran the refund and would not allow the customer to cancel refund if they did not give full credit for the sale price. This is the kind of situation to watch out for and be prepared accordingly. It may be best to ask refund policy prior to doing the refund or else you lost the item plus your mfr coupon value and all you get is a few cents refund ![]() Others do not have problems doing returns with RRs and other coupons showing in their receipt. They get full store credit in a W card (restrictions apply when using this card) which they can use on their future shopping trips. We just have to find out the return policies per store prior to doing the actual return so there will be no surprises. Returns are unavoidable a few times, but for those who are frequent shoppers at a store, it is best not to make it a habit. The store takes notice of the pattern and give them reason to ban the customer.

They must issued a FULL REFUND even if you paid with RR'S but in the form of a W CARD they will not issue cash refund.

just take it back without the receipt..if they are going to give it to you on a GC anyways, it shouldn't matter...then you don't have all the hassel of the coupons...unless it 's on sale now and wasn't when you bought it ??

This should not be YMMV. If you ask them to get a copy of their return policy it is stated right in there. As previous posters have said you willg et the amount above your Oop back on a W card minus walgreens coupons. Walgreens coupons will be deducted from the amount if they were used because the store does not get reimbursed for their own store coupons. RR are manufacturers coupons and therefore walgreens does get reimbursed so the amount you paid Oop will be returned by the method you paid (cash, visa etc). Then the amount your paid with RR's will be returned on to a W card minus any walgreens coupons you used on the item. HTH!
