Returning an Item that didnt Produce its RR ? (Lotion)

I just got back from WAGS. I bought the Vaseline Lotion, chapstick & EmergenC.
I did not use any Unilever RRs. (Im positive) I got the 2 RRs for the small items...But not the Lotion.
The store was packed & I did not look til I got home.
I will be returning my Lotion tomorrow. I sure hope they do not give me a problem.

Anyone return an item you were supposed to get & RR for but didnt- Did you have a Problem?

that is a common occurence so I inspect all my RRs immediately before leaving the counter. If there is one or two missing, I ask for the MOD immediately to let them know and fix it for me.

I have never gone back a day after the incident. I suggest you call the store now and try to catch the cashier you checked out with to let him/her know you missed one RR. then when you come back, let the MOD know you called and informed the cashier about it. Hopefully, you get your RR w/o hassles. Good luck!

happens to me all the time. call catalina 1888 826 8766 tell them and they will send you a refund for the rr's. my wags tell me that i used too many coupons or that the item rr sale expired(it didn't) or whatever. i rarely return items as i don't want them to ban me from the store . i might return an item if it cost alot but anything under$10 i call catalina. some stores will revoke your status as a customer for too many returns (it has actually happened to people i know) so i don't make a habit of returns, however if rr's are due i pursue the issue like a pitbull!

Good to know b/c I have returned 2 items this week - right after the xaction, though. Neither one printed out rr's, so I returned them immediately. Both times the cashiers understood completely and were very nice about it.

I have only returned a few items in the last year- all with receipts & none were RR items.
The parking lot was Full. I got the last spot...So just wanted to get out of there. Otherwise I normally check my RRs.
I dont think the manager would have wanted to deal with the problem then either with it that busy.
I will call the catalina company. But how do they know I am telling the truth anymore then the manager?

when you call cat mktg, wait for at least 24 hrs has passed so the CSR can see your transaction. be ready with your receipt since they will ask for the store location and RFN on it. they will know if the RR printed or whatever problem there was that didn't make it print that one RR. if it shows the RR didn't really print, they take your NAZ and send your RR in the mail. BUT if it shows the RR printed, then you have to deal with the MOD to fix it. Hopefully, the MOD just takes your word for it. If you encounter resistance, weigh it carefully if you will fight for it and run the risk of being labelled as a difficult customer. You can just charge it to experience and make sure you get all your RRs next time. Good luck!

I have had RR's not print but I usually just tell the manager and they go to a different register and get me one...either using another product or one that gives an RR. I have never had to return an item though...good luck!

I will try to wait 24 hrs. Im having major surgery Monday...And want to get this all figured out before.
The Cashier handed me everything that printed...So it definately didnt print the RR.
So hopefully that wont be a problem when I call.

And it usually takes about 4-6 weeks to get your RR in the Mail?

Do people seem to always get them in the mail.
Id hate to call & expect it in the mail...Only to find 4-8 weeks later I still didnt get it.

in my experience, they send the RR which has a longer exp date up to a month so you have enough time to use it. I suggest you ask for a confirmation number when you call so you can use it as reference later in case you do not receive your RR in 4 weeks, which is the average time to receive them.

Ok, Got my call done. Only took 30 minutes. Grr
They said it did not qualify because I used a Coupon for the item.
I used 3 $5.00 Bayer coupons. And 3 $4 RRs- I am not sure what each was from. But none were Unilever.
She said she will put it through as No Coupon used...Told me it takes 10-12 weeks to process.
I hope I get the RRs in the mail.
