HI,
I just posted a clearance deal at clearance board I found when shopping at wags this evening. It was PUR water pitcher which was clearanced to $4.49 so I bought it with RR since the price was not that bad. Now I checked cpn database and there IS a cpn for this item that exp. tomorrow. A whopping $3 off!
I was wondering if I could bring this pitcher in for return, rebuy with the coupon. Would they let me do that? Has anyone done this before?
I wish I can access to the coupon database at the store so I can look up whenever I find unadvertised or clearance deals.

Yes,I have done it before. I've done it a few times...once I just went in and was honest and said I had a coupon for it and forgot, and they just re-rang it w/coupon. Or I've returned it, and went back later and bought one with the coupon. $3 is a big discount!

I have not tried this at Walgreens, but I have taken my receipt and coupon(s) back to Target and Publix, and they will refund the money. Then I don't have to return and rebuy. I do not know if Walgreens will allow this, though.

How did you present it? Did they take the cpn, scan the receipt and the item and give you the money?

Yes, but I don't have to have the item with me. They just scan the receipt(or look at it, if it doesn't have a barcode) and I show them on the receipt which item(s) has the missed coupons. Sometimes they circle the items on the receipt or initial it. Publix is awesome about this, but they do have the best customer service. Then they give you cash out of the register.

yep ...people do that all the time...even last night at payless girl in front of me told me she brought just a coupon she bought something earlier,didin't even know about coupon,went home print it than brought to store to adjust the price...

I was told at my Walgreens that if you pay with RR and returned it you would not get that back unless your total was over the RR. Can't give you back more than you payed.

I have though returned and item to walgreens then used the coupon. All I did was tell the Manager my coupon didn't get used and he refunded me the coupon amount. If anything return it, then go back and buy another one with the coupon.

Absolutely, guilty as charged!

I don't take something back that I bought at clearance and return with full price receipt; mentioned that only to clarify.

But, find a Q later or I forgot the MQ and it was an item I needed and my gas was already invested, yes, I keep the receipt and later rebuy w/the Q and then return within the time allowed by store refund policy. U betcha!

With all the good deals and MM I get from WAG, I will not return-rebuy later to redeem a coupon inside package. If I have good relations with the store, I'd rather not put myself under suspicion. Whether its legit or shady, I'll just stay away from such transactions. M2C.

Yes, BUT my store says I have to have the item with me so they can re ring it.
