I bought the Airwick yesterday @3.99, the coupon went through without a problem. I cam back at the same walgreens today, the coupon was beeped. The lady told me the coupon value is more than the item. What is wrong here?

Did you have more than one Airwick product when you went yesterday? I assume you're using the $4 coupon, right? If what you're getting is only 3.99, then yes the coupon will beep, but say you bought 2 Airwick and used one coupon, your total amount of Airwick products that are eligible for the coupon is 7.98, which is more than the $4 so the coupon would not beep.

OP, did you have other items the first time when you bought the airwick? how many did you buy the first time and how many coupons did you use?

I'm sure it will always beep since the face value is over the sale price. HOWEVER, there are stores that adjust the face value to equal the balance remaining. Example you bought 2 so that is 7.98 ~ $4 Q will scan and the 2nd $4 will beep but some SMs will enter them as vendor MQ for 3.98 so you'll still get them free. Others will just reject the 2nd coupon.
