| Why Must IVC be processed Last?
sigh....why does the system require we give the ivc last? I had a heck of a nightmare at a Wags tonight- the manager was soooo rude and basically told me to hit the road. She did not agree to override my legit coupons- the theraflu insert qs- as the fellow insisted on enterting the ivc first- as their store requires (The manager said that is corporate policy and whoever doesn't do that will get in trouble) She also said that pushing a q thru for wags is concidered coupon fraud. ugh! I am very kind to all my Waggies and even bought a starbucks mocha for a much loved BA today! I've never been treated so poorly by a wag manager as I was by this woman. It was icky that is for sure. She said that if the system doesn't take it, there is nothing she can do. I wonder why the ivc, when used first, will not allow any other qs? As happened tonight- any insight. Long story short, I did just pen an email to corporate and hope to hear back. I'm not a big rabble rouser but this woman was so unkind and loud and embarrassed me in front of others- and I was just trying to understand what the problem was. She concurred that my coupons were legit just did not agree to take them at all. And told me to go to other Walgreens where the other managers can get in trouble.... I left out the bulk of the gory details but this is the gist.... I'm stuck out here in bumba and don't really have many wags to go to so it's a bummer- but I can't be treated like ca-ca when I'm trying to do the right thing with my qs and get some deals! My already battered self-esteem can't take any more abuse! |

when ivc are used first they attach themselves to the items so then you have to count them into your total coupon count. to get around it at that wags (for the theraflu deal) add 3 fillers try to find pencils or something that cost very little and all your coupons will be accepted then.

At mine it wouldn't scan but the cashier could manually type the coupon number in and then it went fine. Hope you at least get an apology. There is never a need for nastiness in a retail setting. |

I've been in retail and customer service many times and would never think of treated anyone this way- I'm always the sympathetic customer with the staff- and can even take a little bristliness in some cases ( not take it personally and understand the difficulty of dealing with the public) But this was out of control. Earlier in the week, I did this deal w/two Triaminic and a Theraflu, using $3/2 mq for the Triaminic (I didn't have a Healthy Savings booklet at this point, but figured I was still breaking even when considering the RR...) and $2/1 insert/ & $2/1 coupon from the Diabetic coupon book for the Theraflu. Everything was fine. Then today went and got the same...two Triaminic (this time w/IVC as well) and 1 Theraflu. The Theraflu beeped this time. It may have been the order, because the cashier went through my qs first, and then entered them in a random order (back and forth from mqs to Wags qs), but I know I had more than enough items, because I ended up buying 8 more pencils to put in with my son's treat bags for school. The cashier ended up voiding the Theraflu and re-ringing it at $2.99 So, for some reason it appears that the Sugar Free coupon from the Diabetic book is going fine, but not the one from the healthy savings booklet.

I hand over my Q's a few at a time and always have the IVC/Wags Q's scanned last. Never have beeps with Mfq Q's/IP's, then Wags/IVC's then RR's. |

| If you don't mind me asking are you north or south of the city? I also live in IL and have two great WAGS I go too. I do multiple orders and they have keyed in coupons too. I missed the first round of Zantac so I printed two yesterday. Went and did two orders, back to back. First coupon didn't scan, they just keyed it in. Second one scanned without a problem.

I'm almost thinking of just going to the city for a day to do deals sometimes- I could buzz around and do some much more easily than going to the few out here. Where are your wags? ;-) |

I always give my IVC first, then my MQ's. I do not have to add fillers for my IVC's. HTH!

Just like the previous poster said, the IVCs are Walgreens Qs and don't need fillers. I can always use one Walgreen Q and one manu. Q on one item. I don't give out my coupons in any particular order so I know the IVCs don't have to be processed last. I have actually been giving them first. The Theraflu Q in the Healthy Savings booklet has beeped for me before. I do the same thing with the Triamenic deal (Healthy Savings IVC, then manu. Qs) and it doesn't beep, so I have no idea why it does that, but the order of Qs given doesn't seem to make a difference for me. The Theraflu IVC is problematic for me so I just avoid it.
