| For those of you who have a full time job and a family….
For those of you who have a full time job and a family, how do you do your wags deals? Do you hit just one store? How many transactions do you do at a time?

I do have a full time job and family. I usually go on my lunch hour. There are about 8-10 Walgreens around my work so I can usually go to at least 2 a day (if I wanted to). There are like 5 on my way home, so I can usually squeeze one in there (again, if I wanted to). It really depends on the deals on how often I go. Some weeks I'll go only once and be done. This week, I've gone to at least one store every day. It's just a great time right now to grow my rewards. I usually do 1 maybe 2 transactions per store.

I work full time and have a family. There is only 1 WAGS in my town so I usually go Sunday morning and do 2 or 3 transactions and then go back Tuesday nite while the kids are at karate class and do 2 or 3 more. If there is something I really want or have expiring RRs I might take a trip on my lunch hour.

I work 40 hrs a week, have 2 kiddos. (I tell my DH he makes 3) We only have 1 store within a 60 mile radius so I plan my deals out each night and then I will hit the store an my way back from the gym at about 6 am, (night shift crew), About 10 am (on my 1st break because it is only a couple of blocks from my work (morning shift crew) and then again after I get off and we have dinner. (evening shift crew) If they are low on stock and don't have much that I am interested in I may only go once or may skip a day completely. I typically only do 1 transaction as I am new to this and trying to feel out which cashiers are good with it and which aren't. Once I get that down I may try multiple transactions in one trip.

I go Sunday morning since I am out anyway picking up newspapers. I try and do 2 transactions while the store is slow. If it is a good week like this week is, I go at least once a day. I have 1 24 hr Wags on my way to work, but the older lady working gets easily flustered when Qs beep or will not scan and she WILL NOT key them in....so I really do not like going there unless I have to. I have a WAGS within 2 minutes of me at work, so I go sometimes on my lunch break If I can get out of the building. if I have to pick up DD there are 2 WAGS on the way to her daycare. If I do not have to pick her up and I head straight home, I am able to go to my favorite Wags where I have never had any problems (knock on wood). Although this week I feel like I cannot go enough times in a day to get all the deals I would like to!

I don't work but I also don't like dragging DD with me as she is not the most pleasant shopper. I usually go on Saturday morning, hit 3-4 Wag's and do 2 transactions at each. It takes me about 1.5 hours and seems to be the most effective way to get it all done.

I do as much as I can on Sunday, usually hit 3 CVS and then try to fit them in throughtout the week. I squeeze a trip in the am. DS bus comes at 7:40am and I don't have to be at work untill 10am. The problem is TIME, I want to start WAGS, but can't seem to figure out when I would go and don't want to start and put money into it and then end up with expired RR's

I work 40-50 hours a week and drive 3 hours a day to and from work. I have 4 kids and am girl scout leader, band booster secretary, and help with boy scouts and cub scouts. I usually make my first run early Sunday. Luckily there is a wags a couple of blocks from work so I can usually make a couple of trips during lunch throught the week. I also drive to make a few on my way to practice or meetings in the evenings if there is something I really want. There are two pretty close to where I live, so I am lucky I have easy access.

Only one Wags about 15m from me. I do work and have a family. The town I work in does not have a Wags. I go on Sunday mornings and do 2-3 transactions (depending on the deals and my coupons). Then sometimes I go again Wednesday night while the kids are at religion class.

Work full time and have a growing family. Usually make a run on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday on lunch break and again on Friday after work. DH thinks I'm nuts but doesn't complain with all the free goods in the house.

I work full time from home. Some people think I am lucky because I can be at home but trying to run 6 businesses for me and my family (mother in law and cousin are included in this) is hard at home because there are distractions, like how many times am I attempting Walgreens! Well, I came to a realization the other week that my Wags is about 40 minutes away. I should not go because if I get rr's then I will need to go back and it becomes a big distraction in my life. I tried to not go to Wags but failed. Here is my new solution. I will go and make my first Trans really low oop. Then I will roll and roll my rr's until I am tired of being there (my cashiers are wonderful) Then whatever I have left over I will spend on things like newspapers and other things that I need to have for the week-this week it is toilet paper, we are out! That way I will spend my rr's and not feel like I have to go all the time. I will limit myself to once a month and I will be able to keep myself happy! |

I really dread spending any additional time away from my kids, I already work full time so I try to make my trips to Wags/CVS limited. I usually go during lunch breaks, there is a Wags down the street and a CVS further down the street. I've decided I hate stressing myself out to go on Sundays. That is family time to me. I've spent a lot of time plotting trips on Sundays or cutting coupons, and I'm starting to realize that it is kinda a pain. Also, I often find that the things we TRULY need are not priced well at Wags or CVS, like baby wipes, coffee, food, etc. These are items we go through like crazy. So, ultimately I hit Wags and CVS usually once, maybe twice a week each. I haven't been at CVS much at all lately. If there isn't a good deal on something I could use or need, then I don't go. I am not trying to build up a stockpile or anything at the moment.

I work part time and have my 20 month old dd.. Lately she's been an ANGEL (must be growing out of her terrible twos!) but usually I will either wait until the BF gets home or take my mom and sister with me and they can handle her while I'm trying to work out a deal.

i go on sunday morning when they open and do my "big" trip...usually do about 6 transactions then during the week I will make quick blitz trips here and there on my way home from work, on my lunch hour or in between dropping off and picking up kids. I'm lucky that i have a ton of stores close by so i can easily do a fast trip whenever.

I usually go before work and sometimes I go on my lunch; then I hit that same store on the way home and hit another 2 more stores... I have 3 stores on my way home from work... I live 12 miles from work but that will be changing in Jan. as it will only be about 6.5 ![]() Then, after hitting all the stores last night. went home made dinner, made a quick run to Kohls to get "free" and hit Walgreens again. I have to use up about 12 more $4/1 Gillette coupons and I am still doing the Vaseline deal and am trying to get a bunch more so I can make up some gifts with them for the girls at work for Christmas. Now today I can only go to one but plan on taking care of the rest of my q's this weekend. Edit: Now, my kids are 10, 13, 14 & 16 and our (26 yr old is married w/children)and hubby works out of house, so it is easy for me. I just started couponing and could not have done it like I am doing now if my children were small. It would have to be mainly the weekends then. Last edited by roseminxe; 10-21-2009 at 09:56 AM. |

I have one store on my way home from work , so I will hit it after I get off if I want to. I also go Sunday mornings before anyone wakes up. I have 2 stores I can go to on Sunday mornings. If it is a GREAT sale , I'm talking fabulous sometimes after church on Sunday my husband and 2 kiddos will make a WAGS run and go to about 8 stores in the larger city next to us. We will stop at the park and play, have a nice lunch etc. so it's really fun time and family time for all of us. My husband is great because he enjoys doing the deals too. And will actually stop on his way to work if the deal is just right |

The only store remotely near me is 35 miles away. Thankfully it is right across the street from my job. I go on lunch about 3 to 4 days a week, but only do one transaction each trip.

I live 40 miles away from the closest wags. I usually try and get there once a week and do at least 3 transactions. I would love to do more, but my store is always out of stock of everything. I also always have from 1-4 kids in tow. That also makes it interesting!!!!

I work full time and commute 2 hours a day. I do my big trip on Sunday mornings while the family is getting ready for church, then race home to pick them up and off to church. If it is a really good week, I will go again after church and every day on my way home from work until the store runs out of items. I only do one transaction per visit because cashiers are okay, but I don't want to push my luck.

I work full time, have 3 kids (1 in college, 2 in high school) and of course the DH. Last night I decided to hit everything I could. Started at Walgreens around 5:15pm (did 10 transactions, yep 10 transactions - my cashier luvs me , then off to Target (good trip too), then off to HT (needed my free pizzas before Wednesday changes), hit Wal-Mart and home by 10:05pm.I went to Walgreens by myself then picked up boys (1 from home & 1 from school football practice) and took them everywhere else...what was I thinking?
