| Ear thermometer at Wags, which one do you recommend? Any coupons?
HI, My son has flu and I need to replace our old Braun ear thermometer that didn't seem to read right. I've seen ear, forehead thermometers there and was wondering anyone recommend any brand, wags brand? Is there any cpns? I have enough RR to pay but need to figure out the fillers! Please help and thank you.

THank you. The Braun one I saw at Wags are 49.99 whereas other brand and wags brand I saw were 29.99 so I might just buy one of the 29.99 one.

I have a thermoscan and love it...so easy with toddlers. I would definitely recomend going with a temporal rather than ear thermo...they are much more accurate.

How does it check the temperature? My old Braun ear thermometer reads different temp. one after the other so I don't know which one is the right one. Or sometimes, it reads lower than what it should be...

I have a temporal scanner and I love it also. You just pass it over the forhead and it reads the temperature. When I rescan I get pretty much the same temp each time. A lot easier than trying to take their temp in their ear.

| We use these at the hospital I work at. They are supposed to be as accurate as a rectal thermometer. I do sometimes get different readings with these, but its just within a few decimals. With the ear thermometers it can sometimes differ by a degree or 2.

I bought and returned the Wags brand the same day. It gave a wide range of temperatures for my son when he had an obvious temp. It also didn't seem to fit in his small (2 year old) ear canal correctly...probably causing the different temps. HTH Amanda |
