Today while at the store I saw these 8 oz containers of Heluva Good French Onion Chip Dip priced at 10/$10, pair it with the $0.75/1 or $0.55/1 from the 1/22 SS or the $0.50/1 Heluva Good Product IP found here: Heluva Good and that's free dip!

Can the dip be frozen? I'm wondering cause I got company coming for Easter and they usually got nuts on chips and dip and such....

I was wondering that too, after looking it up I think the general consensus is that it- like any product with sour cream- will not thaw out very well. Their website itself said that freezing the dip was not recommended as it will change the texture. I've also read though that storing it in the fridge upside down will make it last longer as inverting the tub creates a vacuum that inhibits the growth of bacteria that spoils the dip. The expiration on my dip says May 4th so I imagine if you could get some that will last for your Easter party.

That's interesting..... I was wondering how long the date was on the dip. Looks like I'll be getting some this week. Thanks for the info! Need to go and see if they have any of the Olay back instock anyway.

I have frozen this dip before and it DOES NOT thaw well. Very watery and thin.

Ugh, Freezing was AWFUL! I do NOT recommend it. It was clumpy and runny at the same time after it thawed.

However, on a good note, these stay fresh up to 37 days after the Expiration on the container. So we have actually eaten ones that were 25 days past date. I won't dare go any farther. HTH!

After trying the failed freezing attempt several years ago to make them last longer I now put them in the very back of my fridge...I get double the "life"!
