I purchased some coupons on ebay for Scotch Packing Tape $1/1. I received them today and they are not IP coupons so there is no way to check their validity...so how does someone know? These could have been printed from the company...and if they were then they are not too smart. To me they look like they could have been easily copied on a color copier. The way that they were sent to me, it shows they were padded at the top (glue at the top like they were on a tear off pad) - AGAIN easy to do yourself if you know much about printing. I do not want to be redeeming some counterfeit coupons...so how do I know for sure?

I haven't seen that one, and I don't see it in the AFC database but I did look it up in another database and I found it. Says exp 12/31/09 There are similar ones in the AFC database $1/1 Scotch scissors, Scotch Packaging tape FREE WYB Scotch mailing supplies cutter also exp 12/31/09.

Do these look particularly fake?

No, it does not look fake....to me it just seems that the company would have gone to more care to produce something alittle more "unique" to prevent counterfeiting. I have worked places that had very expensive color copy machine for producing newsletters and brochures and this "could" have been done on a machine like that. I guess I must be getting paranoid. Like I said, I do not want to be redeem coupons that are fakes! I just wondered if anyone had really found these hanging in a store. The person on ebay has great feedback and does huge volume in sales....so it is probably OK...I just figured that Scotch would do a better job of protecting themselves.
