Yes, they were given to people as a thank you for completing a survey. But then they got distributed which is why they are no longer being accepted as valid.

Thank you, I did not know this. I feel bad though because just this morning my husband took one to our Walmart with him because he found it in a drawer (don't know how it got there. That's not how I normally organize my Qs) Anyway, they didn't even question it. I certainly want no part of counterfeit couponing.

thank you for posting this - i had no idea they weren't okay to use because others have posted deals including this coupon. i haven't been able to because it had no expiration date on it. thanks!

It's too bad. There is a coupon under riceworks.com for those of you that tried and liked. I highly recommend the parmesan and tomato ones. They are so good. They have a slight Dorito taste, but not as strong. My husband and I both love them.

The counterfeit riceworks ® coupon reproduced below was identified earlier this year.

The original coupons were distributed by the company to a select group of fewer than 2,000
consumers specifically as a thank you in return for participation in an online celiac survey.
However, more than 30,000 coupons were reproduced without authorization and have been
submitted for redemption.

The company did not authorize reproductions of this limited-offer coupon to be posted on any
website, blog, or e-mail. Due to the wide spread counterfeiting; the company has decided to
completely withdraw this coupon offer.

Individuals who properly obtained the coupon have been contacted by the
Manufacturer and instructed not to use the coupon.

Retailers should not accept these unauthorized coupons.
