| Is this legit?
Hey everyone, I signed up for a freebie from that Hi i'm Sarah website. I think it was a free trial of detergant or something. Anyhoo, I got an email this morning from them stating I could get a $250 rite aid, wags or cvs giftcard by going to this website... ConsumerReviewNetwork - Get your FREE $250 Drugstore Gift Card! I'm not so sure it's legit, i'd rather not give my information to something that looks like a scam. Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks |

I would say it's not legit-but that's just my opinion. Were they asking for personal information-your name and addy-maybe phone #?

Yeah it was asking for all your personal information on where to ship the giftcard is what it was saying, but it looked like one of those snazzed out websites where either they want you to sign up for 1000 other offers to get the one offer they originally mentioned, or it's fake. I'm not sure.

Avoid sites like these. I signed up for free coffee and free baby wipes and I get no less that 50 spam mails a day now.

Just to clarify- its a site where you have to take their survey and then complete x amount of offers to get the item. I have done one before and yes i did get the item but i completed it. So basically if it requires you to fill out a form asking where you want your gift to be sent and looks too good to be true for free then it is. You usually have to complete offers and only after the offers fromt he "sponsers" have been completed will you get the gift card. I worked in this industry for awhile ( gpt sites) and so i know allllllllllllllll about them. Thats why i know that some do work i had to do it

I signed up for hiimsara as well thinking could get freebies. Everyone I ahve gotten requires you to complete their offers. Not worth the free stuff. If you do stuff like this create a free email account that you use for it. I have a gmail account I rarely check that I utilize for all my subscription emails except AFC or ones I really wnat to see and use a lot.

Its hard to tell whats legit and truly free and whats not. 90 percent out there survey wise that arent directly from a company are those sites. Its frustrating ( even when i worked in the industry it was frustrating )

Read the fine print right on the main page: Quote:

| VintageTink is correct, most of these things actually are legit, like the $500 Walmart gift card, $1500 check. But you do have to read the fine print. I'm working on getting my first $1500 check right now. It looks like I'm going to have to invest about $175-$200 to get it and then pay taxes on it but I won't complain! The trick is this. First, verify the website. You can go to BBB website or do just like you did and ask around. I follow a reputable blog of a woman who does these so it helped me to educate myself before starting. Next, you have to be SUPER organized. Look through all the pages of offers before signing up. Read ALL the small print. Jot down the cheapest (but appealing--so you're not totally wasting the money) deals out there. For instance, I signed up for Netflix cause it will save us money on movie rentals & I've been thinking about doing it anyway. A lot of these you only have to sign up for a trial period or you get a discounted introductory rate. As you sign up for things, make a list (I started a spreadsheet--just make sure you back it up or print it out in case if your computer crashes) of the company name, web address, terms, date you need to cancel by if it is a trial, contact info, etc. Then you have to follow up and make sure that your sign up information is submitted to the company making the gift card or cash offer. When you first start, set aside a good solid chunk of time to complete all of the offers in one sitting. Then schedule a time one or two times a week where you devote an hour to following up on everything. But short story long, YES! most of these are actually legit even though a lot of people don't think they are. The reason these companies can offer what they do is because most people sign up for 1 or 2 things and then quit and THAT'S how they make their money. Except with people like me who are more than willing to put in the work to take what they're offering me!! If anyone decides to do any offers like these (after you've DOUBLE CHECKED that it is legit) and has any questions, feel free to message me. I'm learning as I go but maybe I've already learned something (the hard way) that I could offer to you. Good luck. p.s. just don't start this now thinking you'll having spending money for christmas because it will take a few months before you get it. Oh! And one more thing. Make sure that when you click on an offer that you right click and choose to open the link in a new window. That's another way they try to get you in that it won't pop up to a new window a lot of times so you kind of lose track of the original list of offers. |
