I know there are sooo many couponers in Spring and I've spoken to a great many of you via PM but I thought it'd be nice to all "meet" one another in this thread! Maybe sometime in the near future we can organize coupon swaps (with super fast shipping ), we can dish about what stores are the most coupon friendly and which ones to avoid, what stores are stocked and when and just chat and help one another out!To start introduce yourself!

I'm Dana. We're a 5 family household plus a dog I'm married and have a 6 year old son, 4 year old daughter and 6 month old daughter. I receive one weekly Chronicle delivery and the rest of my coupons I get from co-workers, clipping services, ebay or AFC trades. I regularly shop at CVS and Walmart. I find myself stepping into HEB a lot more than usual. I will shop at Walgreens if my patience is high and it's a good deal. I've been to Kroger ONCE since they've stopped doubling and haven't set foot in Randalls. I price match all stores at Walmart plus Food Town and Food Fair.

Hello all! Thank you so much for starting this thread! I'm Allison I am married and have one DS (21 months). I shop at HEB, Kroger, Walgreens, CVS and Walmart. I have mastered the drug store deals, but still struggle saving on groceries. I AFC! I am very active in the PIF threads! Love the ladies there! I trade lots of coupons with them and occasionally buy from eBay. Like Dana, I only get one newspaper delivered to my house, but usually end up with more from family and trades ![]() Looking forward to chatting with all of you! |

Hi Allison do you do your normal grocery shopping at Kroger?I'm like you - drug stores - CHECK! Got it I still struggle with day to day groceries. If I have the time to plan and execute a large Walmart haul I do pretty well but it's so exhausting looking at all the ads, matching up coupons, I shop alone so usually my cart is overflowing and hard to push and fit everything into. I'm planning a pretty big WM trip for Tuesday night and I'm already dreading it. I also find that a lot of the "hot" deals are sold out around here almost immediately, especially at Walmart, so it's like a game of luck as to whether I can get the deal at Walmart. I have better luck at other stores, though.

No I do not do lots of shopping at Kroger....I do go once a week (usually on Sunday) to get a rotisserie chicken to use in making my sons pureed food for the week....DS has epilepsy and is very developmentally delayed. One of his delays is that he does not chew, so I make all of his food Sunday and freeze the containers to thaw throughout the week. While I am there getting my chicken, I look for managers specials and blinkies I usually end up picking up a few things for the week...but often cringe at the prices! I wanted lil smokies (love the turkey ones for pigs in a blanket) and they were $3.99!!!...walmart has them for $2.28 (I think) just plain crazy!!

Wow I am glad this forum was started. I did not know that it was in existence until I looked in your signature (missdanalu). Well we are a family of seven. Yes I said seven. I am the only female in the bunch and I love it. I am Tonetta and I am married to Matthew (will be 16 years on Friday), our 5 boys are Matthew 15, John 13, Mark 10, Luke 2, and Paul 11 months. I shop seems everywhere these days but I am getting tired of that. I love CVS because it is so simple. Don't go to WAGS as much still like it though. I often go to Foodtown because they have really good deals. I shop Kroger most of the time because they are like right around the corner from me. I also like HEB. I am really considering just shopping at Walmart and CVS. My only problem is price matching items that are not in a sales ad but may be on sale like with Foodtown. I view the in store add on line but in order to price match I need the add and if I have to drive down there I figure I may as well shop while in the store. Anyway I could go on but I will stop for now and am excited about chatting with everyone. Last edited by tonewash; 12-13-2011 at 06:24 PM. Reason: Didn't give my name. |

I do a lot of CVS, WAGS and stores like JCP, kohls, and VS so i am always keeping my eyes peeled for coupons from them! I do not grocery shop (I am living with my parents atm), but I like to help with getting toilet paper, soaps, shampoo&conditioner, and things of that nature for the household so I feel like I'm doing my part, although I do like to go with my mom to see how much things should be and what stores are best. I agree, we do not go to krogers as much since they do not double anymore, and we will go to HEB, but it seems like before coupons with HEB, the prices seem higher than Krogers, has anyone else noticed that? I know we will drive a will to get to Joe V's Smart Shop (off 1960) because I am near 2920 and thats a while to go for groceries but their prices are very very good. I suggest you guys going there and just looking around. They are the sister company to HEB, so even their off brands are good priced, but they are the same as HEB as far as company names on hot sauce, milk, cheese and what not.

I didn't want to put this on the main CVS page but the store I told you to go to the manager's name is Beth she's wonderful with pre-ordering and they're all soo nice in that store, you'll love it.I shop at HEB more and more because it's so close to me and more convenient than driving to Walmart. It's also smaller which I like ![]() If you go to Food Town's website you can print up a PDF of the in-store ad. If I'm PMing something from Food Town I print the in-store ad and take it to Walmart just in case. I've never been asked for the ad at the WM at Louetta/45 but I still bring it just in case. I also PM Food Fair so you should check out their website too it's foodfairshopper.com. They also have an in-store ad you can print and take in.I love your boys names and I love big families we're at 5 now but who knows ![]() Quote:
I want to start shopping more at Kohls but I can't figure out how to get the 5/5 and 10/10 coupons people have

Last week I got 20 coupons for $10.xx. $10 for $200 worth of free stuff! You can only use one per transaction, but I usually do 2 transactions at a time. I've never had a problem! I've gotten so many little Chritmas presents and decorations there!

Hi, I am Diane. I am married sahm of a 17month old girl. I primarily shop at walmart. Being able to pm saves us so much. (I have found that the 2920 and kuykendahl location usually has more stock of the cheap/ free/ mm) Also shop at heb for certain items that are cheaper there. Also I make a foodtown trip once every month and half for the frozen bags of vegetables and other food staples. Where is the JoeVs on 1960 located at? Also how do you get the home mailers from them? I have yet to try the drugstore game.. |

If your items are for less than $10 to they adjust the coupons down or do you have to spend at least $10 to use them?Quote:
if there's a good deal I may try your WM. The one at Louetta/45 is wiped clean Day 1. It's crazy. Joe V's is off Antoine I believe. I've never actually been there but my dad loves it. We must get you into the drugstore game!! 85% of my stockpile is from drugstore shopping. It's so easy and convenient. Do all of you ladies stockpile?

Yes I stock pile, although my grocery stockpile is getting pretty low! As far as the drugstore goes. My issues are oop price to start up(we are on a very strict budget) and I am horrible with math. But I would love to learn.

Yes I stockpile Food is tough, but I have all HBA and paper items stockpiled!...oh yeah and diapers and WIPES ! For the Kohls coupons your total can be under $10, but it really confuses some cashiers so I always try to go over $10...I usually pay under a dollar- $1.50 per transaction.

I do stockpile. I have a hard time stockpiling groceries though with all of my boys at home. It seems that we never have enough things such as snacks and juice. I have started to get extra loaves of bread and freeze them. I missed the last sale at HEB when the bread was .88 after their in store coupon. I want to one day get to a point where I am only buying fruit, milk, eggs and such on a weekly basis at least for a month. That would be so nice. I have managed to stock up on ground beef and boneless, skinless chicken breast by utilizing this company Zaycon Foods. So I still have work to do on getting my grocery stockpile going. Any suggestions or ideas you can give would be greatly appreciated. Last edited by tonewash; 12-14-2011 at 01:18 PM. |

I thought about doing the online ads but was not sure if the would take it. Should I just print the page or the whole ad. I don't really like the Walmart on Louetta, I usually go to the one on Sawdust. I didn't start out wanting a big family but I wouldn't have it any other way. People often ask if I want a girl or if we are done. My answer is I would like one but ultimately whatever God gives me I will take. |

I knew they were coming so I didn't buy ANY chicken breasts for a month (because the exact date was unknown) and then when they announced their pick up times it was in the middle of the day on a weekday. I have work! I can't make it to The Woodlands and back to work in an hour. Oh well, next time I'll just call in sick to go pick it up I've never seen their ground beef sales - how much per lb do they sell ground beef for? Quote:
I order Monday mornings. For the Food Town ad I print the first page of the ad so they can see the dates and then the pages with products that I'm PMing. Quote:
I liked it but it was before I started couponing so I don't know how they are with that. The one on Louetta isn't as nice but I like to go there because I KNOW I won't have a problem there, KWIM?
