Anyone else having trouble printing coupons from Bricks?

I've printed hundreds of Bricks coupons over the years-In the last few days, every time I go to print a Bricks coupons, I get the Install the Printer screen. I even tried reinstalling the printer and still no print. Another friend of mine is having trouble printing, but not the same issue as mine. Anyone else having trouble?

I am having the same problem. Are you using Firefox? I used the tips in the sticky about switching between Firefox, IE, etc but no luck. I luckily also have safari on my computer, so I go to Safari, switch the letters to XS and it works great. Not sure what the issue is???? Hopefully it fixes soon. Can you try a different browser?

I tried IE and was able to print. Maybe it was a Firefox update.

Actually, it happened to me in the middle of printing a bunch of coupons just this evening. I closed FF and turned off my printer. Then when I opened FF again, it told me it had updated my coupon printer. Then all was well again.

Perhaps the following may or may not help you. Have you recently downloaded from the Microsoft Windows Update site, I. E. 8? NONE of the coupon installers will work with I.E. 8, until all the coupon installers update there software.

Sorry to tell you, but Microsoft Windows Update does not have anything to do with the Coupon Installers. That software needs to be updated by the software company that installs the Coupon Installer. You can either roll back to I.E. 7 or wait for the Coupon Installer Software to be updated. When that will be, no one will know except for the Coupon Installer Software people.

If you do not know much about computers, I highly recommend to leave it alone, as you could make a big mess out of your computer. If you know someone who knows computers, have them remove I.E.8 to I.E.7. Just have them check to make sure you do have I.E.8 installed on your computer.

Myself, I have my Windows Update set up to be done by me only, when they become available. Most of the time, Microsoft will download updates, that is not needed and then problems comes up.

I run my anti virus frequently, and everything was fine until I used Bricks last night. My computer was acting crazy, and I ran the anti virus, and had gotten a Trojan Horse. Luckily is was able to take it off. Now I'm worried about Bricks...

There is a compatibility option on IE8 for those sites that may not be updated yet. There is an icon that will come up on some websites where compatibility may be an issue...it looks like a piece of paper broken in half next to the email address bar along side the refresh & stop buttons. Some times it takes a few clicks to get it to work but it has helped me with most of my print issues.

I will copy/paste the Windows help section on compatibility for a more in-depth explanation...

Why don't some websites display correctly in Internet Explorer 8?

The information in this Help topic applies to Windows Internet Explorer 8.

Websites that were designed for earlier versions of Internet Explorer might not display correctly in the current version. However, you can often improve how a website will look in Internet Explorer by using a new feature called Compatibility View.

When you turn on Compatibility View, the webpage you're viewing—as well as any other webpages within the website's domain—will be displayed as if you were using an earlier version of Internet Explorer.

To turn on Internet Explorer Compatibility View
Click to open Internet Explorer.

Click the Tools button, and then click Compatibility View.

If Internet Explorer recognizes a webpage that is not compatible, you will see the Compatibility View button on the Address bar. To turn Compatibility View on or off, click the Compatibility View button .

From now on, whenever you visit this website, it will be displayed in Compatibility View. However, if the website receives updates to display correctly in the current version of Internet Explorer, Compatibility View will automatically turn off.

Note
Not all website display problems are caused by browser incompatibility. Interrupted Internet connections, heavy traffic, or website bugs can also affect how a webpage is displayed.

I haven't been able to print coupons for awhile. My husband uninstalled Internet explorer
8 and reinstalled Internet Explorer 7. I still can't print coupons. It's very frustrating!
