Best IP printer

I am in need of a new laser printer for printing my IPs.
I need advice on what you all think is the best laser printer for printing IPs.

My requirements:
- Compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8... yes we have computers using all those
- Wireless capabilities... I have teenagers who print from their tablets
- Auto duplex printing... Is able to print double-sided when I need it
- Laser... Color or Black/White is fine, just want a high quality print
- Handles 16lb to 24lb paper... I'm cheap and whatever paper is cheapest gets bought.
- High volume... a couple reams a day is not unheard of here
- $$ Cheap. Cheap toner and initial cost less than $150.

Any suggestions or recommendations?

HP. Also check to make sure it has the ability to print from a ipad/iphone if you have one. I have used HP lasers forever and they last and are very durable. Are they cheap - no are the cartridges cheap - yes and no - yes for cost of cartridge and no for# of prints per cartridge.

DH and I love love love our Canon Pixma Printers!!! We've had 4 different in total. I will recommend them until I am blue in the face. AND you can find cheap compatible ink on eBay (name brand is pricey).

That being said, our last Canon took a poop about a year ago (lasted 8 years) and we have since received 2 HPs from family (models c310 and c309g-m). I am not so thrilled, but they get the job done. My biggest issue is the Photo Printing Program. It does not have nearly as many layout choices/editing options or fun things as our others. Color Coupons look fantastic but photo paper prints are just so-so (again, compared to Canon). Ink for the HP is almost double the cost for the Generic Compatible Cartridges. I've never priced these in the store, too scared to!

Both printers meet all of your requirements. I don't know about the printing from a tablet though, never tried it or looked into it

The one I have fits all your requirements except being wireless. I got it used and it's a little workhorse. Hp laserjet 3015. (not the P3015, which is newer). It's a printer/ Fax machine/Scanner/Copier. Only black printing.

I've had it for over a year and have gone through 4 or 5 cases of paper on it. The cartridges last a long time and you can refill them when they run out (you have to make a hole in the cartridge to do it). I buy toner on Ebay for about $10 a bottle and that lasts through 2 or 3 refills. I'm on my second cartridge, the replacement of which I also got on Ebay for about $20. I refilled the one that came with it, which was used, 7 times before it died.

It's an older model so it's bigger than most of the new printers out there now, but it has been a good little machine. You can get a used one for $70-80.
