| Mac help needed for bricks coupon printing
I know this question gets asked a lot and probably not much anyone can do without seeing my computer but, here's the deal... My mac computer was printing coupons fine until this evening. This afternoon, my computer did one of those automatic updates. So, this evening when I go to print a bricks coupon, it asks me to install the coupon printer. I figured it got deleted in the update ( ), so I went ahead and reinstalled. Now it gives me the message that my printer is not supported or something like that. I've tried changing default printers, powering off and back on of printers, restarting the computer, even tried printing from FF instead of Safari. I'm so frustrated because yesterday I could print, but now I cannot probably because of the stupid 'update' that I didn't really want/need! Anyone have any idea what I can do?

I've had the same issue without the update. It may not be you! Mine is kind of 50/50. What usually works is uninstalling, reinstall, open FF (bricks wont print in safari at all for me) then give it a go. Good luck!

I'm sorry...sometimes I'm a little slow. Uninstalling/reinstalling what? The coupon printer? How would I go about doing that?

Urgh. I just tried a brick coupon and now mine isn't working either! Boo. Yes you uninstall and then reinstall the coupon printer. To uninstall you go to Finder, open a new window, go to Applications then there should be a folder called Coupons. You can open that up and then double click on the file that says "Uninstall Coupon Printing Software". Or you can just do a search for that file Then to reinstall you've got to go to the brick link and then redownload/install it again. PITA I know! |

What error message are you receiving, bunny? Now I did check and I can print SS coupons but not coupons dot com coupons as well as the stand alone bricks coupons. OK...I did the whole uninstall and reinstall thing and I'm still getting the same thing about my printer or its settings not being supported. I read a bit about that and it basically said that you have to be printing to a printer and not something that could print to pdf or something...well...I have your standard printer, so I don't understand. Very curious as to why this happens right after the system update later this afternoon.

I just tried it again to see what exactly it said and this time it printed. So no real rhyme or reason to it sometimes! Try yours again! Most of the time I get that I've not installed the print driver (which I have) or that settings on my end with my printer aren't right (but they just worked and I didn't change anything) or that they don't support the OS or browser I'm using (I'd have to have a super old computer for that to even be possible). |

Yeah...I used to occasionally get the printer not supported screen and I'd just wait a bit and then try and print again and usually it would work, but it is being persistent this time. I've probably tried 50 times or more to print one particular coupon. ![]() I guess I'll try tomorrow and hope for better luck. Thanks for all your help, bunny!

No luck this morning with it. With the stand alone bricks coupon, it is still giving me the same thing telling me that they don't support my printer or its settings. Although now with coupons dot com coupons, it says it is printing, but never does. Very frustrating...and my 1 year support just ended this month on this computer...Gosh, I wish I was smarter!!

![]() Ugh! I just talked to someone at Mac support and he said it was because the update changed me from Mac OS X 10.6.7 to 10.6.8 and there is Nothing they can do (sorry ) to make it go back.He said I could reinstall the OS that came with the computer (probably 10.6.4), but then I wouldn't be able to update to anything lower than 10.6.8 Since the majority of things I do on the computer have to do with coupon printing, this $2000 laptop is now a big paperweight!!! Now I'm reconsidering going back to a PC (at least they are cheaper)!

This happened to me a few weeks ago and I went into security and enabled downloads. Somehow the security changes when it updates to a newer version. This worked for me so good luck.

I updated, also, and then started getting the screen that says that I need to install the coupon printer. I just hit the button that says "Print Coupons" and they print anyway. ![]() I use Safari, for what that's worth.

The issue is probably with your browser. Uninstall coupon printer. Delete all cache and cookies for Safari & FF. Uninstall FF. Restart. Reinstall FF. Install coupon printer through FF. Restart again. Repeat with Safari if it doesn't work with FF. |

OK, now I've been dealing with the same problem as everyone else. What worked for me is to install Firefox (I didn't have it at all), UNinstall the coupon software, then reinstall the coupon software through Firefox. When printing a "bricks," I had to open Firefox (normally I use Safari, and prefer that) and copy/paste the link to the coupon into Firefox, then print using Firefox as the browser. What a hassle!!! Thanks, j2012!!

I have a MacBook Pro. I did the update recently as well but printed my coupons today with no problem. I ALWAYS have to use Firefox to print them though. Download firefox and open it in your apps. Then go to facebook or coupons.com and print from that browser. It should work. HTH...
