Went to target on friday for the venus cart. used my $2/1 mfqs and when I checked my receipt the coupon was deducted off under the price of the cartridge, but not off the total total amount.

when I asked at customer service the cashier said corp. told them they can't use coupon with gift card deal. I didnt even get a heads up at check out. Anyone else here of this?

I used mfr coupons and still got the GC. First transaction paid 8.16 oop and got $10 GC....then rolled it.

I don't know it showed it right on the receipt, but didn't take it off the total.

I actually had an issue w/ my receipt not showing all my coupons when buying pampers. It did not show on the receipt at ALL, but it came out of the total. B/c it didn't show on my receipt I had them do a missed coupon receipt for me and got the $3 I was missing.........then I got home and realized what had happened. Whoops......at least it was in my favor for once.

Additionally it added up things like it did on yours (I had Target and MF coupons) - but the coupons were subtracted from the total I paid, even though it wasn't in the subtotally. I think it might be an issue of needing the total return value (including giftcard deals) and the computer trying to match up the MF coupon to the item.

Gosh I hope that all made sense.

Long story short, are you sure it didn't come out of the total you paid, just not the subtotal for the razors?

Same thing with my Target receipt. I got the Pampers deal and the razor deal. I added mine up and I believe it is like I purchases the gift cards ($10+$5) on my receipt rather than me getting the gift card deal.

Would we call corporate or the store we went too?

I completely understand what you are trying to say- my receipt looks the same way. Were other things bought in your transaction or just the razors?
When I went in & did this deal I also got free cat food & BandAids. When I left my receipt totally threw me for a loop and I couldn't understand it at all. My receipt shows the razors in qty (6 Fusion @7.99) and then underneath only show 1 coupon being taken off, but then the package total reflects no coupons being taken off. But then once I took a look at my total amount oop and did the math I realized that all of my coupons came off. hth

I did this deal four times - Including this past Saturday - And never had a problem with BOTH Target and manufactuer coupons coming off the toal.

If your store is doing that, that's really lousy that they took your coupons anyway if they're not even going to honor them. The register should at least beep to let you know. Sounds like that specific store messed with their cashiering program and made a mess of it.

that is what target coupons/gc deals look like on your receipt.

the receipts are itemized that way so you can't return the item and get full value back. you would get the full value less the target coupon (or GC). the "package total" reflects the cost of the item after target coupons (or GC) but NOT before manufacturer coupons. the manufacturer coupons are reflected in your final total at the end of the receipt.

if they are printing on the receipt, they are coming off in the end.

I've been reading another board and this kind of things have been happening. Sometimes the coupons don't show in the receipt but really was taken off the total. Sometimes you know the coupons have been scanned & went through but not shown in the receipt & not taken off the total. Something weird is going on with the Target system. Make sure you total your items & coupons when you get home or even better before you leave T. I had an issue once with a TQ that I saw the register accepted but not in my receipt (it was $5 but got covered by overages so I didn't mind).

You can try to call corp and tell them abt the situation. I know some who have been promised a GC for their missed coupons when they called corp. It's worth a call esp if you were overcharged a lot. It's like cheating on Target's end bec they will be reimbursed for the coupons that were not deducted from your total.

I went ahead and returned my razors when the cashier told me the "new policy" and got my money back I had bought other things and didn't have time to add everything up.

target coupons are the hardest to read when you use coupons....

This also happened to me last night. I was upset because I stopped at a Target 45 miles away on my way home and didn't look at my receipt until I got home.

I'd start by calling the store...let them try to handle it first.

I thought I had the same problem, but AS USUAL after spending several minutes in front of the store's exit scratching my head, I pulled out my phone/calculator and did the math--everything was AOK. I just wish it was easier to read, I shouldn't have to do the math again, that's what the register is for!!!! Also, I have this strange feeling that something sneaky is going on, since the mc are missing on the receipts, but not from the total . . . I dunno.

My Target has done that as long as I can remember ~ it attaches the mfr coupon to the first qualifying product it finds. This can cause the register to beep the coupon sometimes when the coupon does NOT exceed the item ~ EXAMPLE ~

Glade flameless candle $7.99
Glade Wisp refill $3.49

If I give the $2 refill first it would apply it to unit and then the $5 candle coupon would try to apply it towards the refill and would cause the register to beep. When in actuality I am getting the candle for $2.99 and the refill for $1.49 ~ so neither coupon should beep.

They coupons that come off at the bottom tend to be $x/2 (since it can't apply the discount to just one item) and and Target store coupons.
